Jaxon shook his head, trying to steady his nerves. “I don’t. I was just reading a book, and suddenly, I was here. I’m sorry for any trouble I’ve caused.”

The council listened intently as Elara explained Jaxon’s accidental summoning. They were initially hesitant, exchanging glances filled with doubt and concern.
