A few hours passed and Kristen had landed around the corner of a safe house he was familiar with. With the invisibility glamour having worn off he walked casually around the corner, his hood over his head. His horns, wings and tail had disappeared so he could walk out in the open without being noticed by anyone. He made his way toward the house and climbed the small amount of steps, opening the door to find a dead demon hanging infront of him. Kristen screamed and fell back, narrowly missing a fall down the stairs from which he just walked up. He stared at the corpse from where he was on the ground. It was saturated in blood and from the smell of it, another demon's blood... alot of different demon blood...
He saw movement in one of the doorways on either side of the entryway and began panicking as a heavily armed group of Demon Hunters emerged from it.
"How do you feel about this poor sod, young youngling? Do you hate us? Feel the fire inside you burning? Or are you scared? Terrified? Do you wish to grovel at our feet and ask to be spared?"
Kristen surveyed the man who had just spoken, looking at his vest with a badge that said 'General Fiviel' and then to his scarred face. The General's voice was the voice you pictured Death himself to have, making Kristen's heart pound in his chest. The General smirked and nodded his head at him, signalling for one of his men to finish him off. It happened in such a blur that Kristen had no idea it had happened until he was up on his feet and there was fire everywhere. Someone had saved him, a demon by the looks of it. Demon fire was very different from normal fire in the way that every demon's fire was a different colour and intensity of heat. Kristen had never seen what his fire looked like, but he knew it was hot by the amount of sweat he woke up in every morning after having a nightmare. Buckets full. A hooded figure landed infront of him, making an unholy growl at the now half-melted General Fiviel. After a moment the hooded figure grabbed Kristen by the arm and told him to fly, so he did. His wings came out and stretched high, flapping a few times and taking him up into the air. The stranger had let go of his arm and was now beside him with the most extraordinary wings.
So I'll update this rest of this chapter at some other point, I'm currently copying and pasting it from another app that I use. If you wish to be up-to-date with the chapters and what is happening in the story, all of the story so far can be found on Inkit. I have up Chapter 6 - Wounds and Kisses.
I'd absolutely love it if you could comment on the story so far and would take any feedback given into consideration. Until whenever I update again. - ˩ʋƨʈ
