Silent & Broken A Proposal

They all have such pretty faces. They look so kind, that people think that they are great people. But they don't know, sometimes, even Devils wear the most beautiful face to bewitch innocents. And those innocent people become their victims, but most of the time, there is nothing they can do.

Luciano, it means light. But there is no light in his life. It is only filled with sadness and darkness of despair. Losing his parents at such a young age, and then being adopted, but later unloved by his adopted parents, nothing turned out to be good. As if, he is cursed. Luciano, he was named by his parents. As he bought the light of happiness in their life. But as they were returning home from a picnic, they met with an accident and passed away. Luciano survived as his mother shielded him with her body, taking the impact on herself and dying on the spot.

Now, the poor boy, just passes his days, being ignored and neglected. He just stares out of the window, which is the only window in his small bedroom. Just looking at the sky, at the birds, and at nature. Wondering, when he will get his deserved happiness. Luciano leaned his back on the chair, as he looked out of the window with his blank eyes. It was as if, he was emotionless, more likely, as if he can't feel emotions at all. He brought his knees close to himself and hugged them, he rested his cheek on his knee and continued to look out. Why didn't he think of escaping? Actually he did, but the thought of where he will go, stopped. Even he doesn't want to stay somewhere, where he is unwanted.

Luciano's eyes turned into stones. He forgot when was the last time he cried. He stopped crying, long ago. His heart still sometimes hurts, but he doesn't care anymore. No matter how harsh words they say, he ignores them. No matter what, they did love him, for two years they loved him like his own son. He is grateful for that, he was happy those two years. He was happier when he found out he was going to have a little brother or sister. But now, his little brother, doesn't really care about him, but at least he doesn't say harsh and bad words about him.

It is so hard to find somewhere you actually belong, where you will be loved.

Someone opened his room's door, well yes, no one here bothers to knock on his door before walking in, but the maids do, sometimes. It was his so-called mother, who had come.

Naraina Solace (MC's mom)

Come downstairs, we need to talk.

Saying that, she left, not bothering to close the door. Luciano stood up from his seat. He took deep breaths, and then he took slow steps out of his room. To be honest, he feels safer in his own room, he feels as if, it is the only thing which belongs to him in this manor. As he walked down, the floor boards creaked, he tried to make fewer sounds, but he couldn't. He saw his parents and his brother who was scrolling through his phone, sitting on the couch. He climbed down the stairs, with his eyes down. He took his seat on a single sofa, not wanting to sit beside anyone.

He wanted to roll his eyes and scoff at them, but he used all his will to not. He just stared at them, more likely, glaring at them.

Eiden looked at his REAL son with his gentle gaze and with a slight smile, but his gaze turned sharp and cold once he looked at Luciano. Luciano clenched his jaw and took deep breaths to calm himself. Luciano only stays calm on the surface. Like an ocean, he may be calm from the outside, but a lot goes in his mind all the time. Eiden and Naraina looked at each other. They left a deep breath. Jace felt the tension in the air, he placed his phone down and cast his gaze on his parents.

Jace knitted his eyebrows as he looked at his father. He spoke out his thoughts, which was also Luciano's thought.

Luciano leaned forward. He narrowed his eyes as he looked at Eiden and then at Naraina. Eiden left a deep breath. While Naraina sat beside Jace and held his hands.

Naraina Solace (MC's mom)

We didn't tell you, but your dad's business wasn't going very well, these days.

Luciano rolled his eyes.

Eiden cleared his throat. He averred his eyes, not looking at them. While Naraina shifted her gaze to her lap, she nervously played with her fingers and rubbed her thumb on her palm.
