The Flood

It was already 5 in the afternoon and the surroundings were dark because of the dark sky that signaled that it would rain, when it dropped at 6:00 pm the heavy rain poured down in Manila, you could not see any people outside because of the intensity of the rain.

"Maybe this bracelet is expensive, because it doesn't look like it's made of bronze gold and I haven't seen anything like this in Aling Bebang's store" Ashleigh said to herself while she was dumbfounded. Come on, we're about to eat and we might lose electricity because of the heavy rain" Ashleigh immediately followed her Mommy

It's 8pm and it's still raining heavily, Ashleigh's family can't sleep because of the fear that their house might be flooded and overtaken "Mommy I want to watch Tom and Jerry" Ashleigh please "just watch it tomorrow sweetheart the news is more important especially and the rain still hasn't stopped" explained Ashleigh's mommy. A little later Ashleigh's mommy's cell phone rang "Hello Honey? How are you?" asked Ashleigh's mommy "Honey there is a flood here in Tarlac City I'm on my way home be careful , you and Ashleigh pack up and we will evacuate when I get there" Ashleigh's Daddy said on the Cellphone, Alkara also known as Mother of Ashleigh was scared, she suddenly packed their things "Mommy what is going on? I'm scared mommy" crying Ashleigh said to her Mommy

"shhh don't be afraid sweetheart your daddy is coming home and when he comes we will leave for the Evacuation center" said his Mommy. 1h pass, Ashleigh's Daddy arrived and the water was high in their area, so Ashleigh's family easily left for the Evacuation Center

Zechary POV

It was 5 in the afternoon when Zech's mom called them and spoke to the two adults while Zech looked out of their living room window which was opposite Ashleigh's house and smiled as if imagining something "Mom you guys in danger there and I saw on the news that there will be a strong typhoon over there in the Philippines" Zech's mommy said on the other line of the phone "Yes it is, and we might be flooded here so your Daddy and I have packed just in case that flooded" there was fear in Crissa's tone "You can go to the airport now and while it's not raining there you can take a flight now, I don't want you to get hurt there, my case is totally over and it's safe here in Canada" he said so the couple went quickly and Zech who went to the Airport before the rain caught up with them "Grandma where are we going?" asked Zech "We're going home to your Mommy" his grandmother said, because of what Zech heard he jumped on the plane he was riding in and screamed with joy but suddenly he cried "why Zech? you must be happy because you will see your mommy Lia again" her grandfather asked worriedly *sob* "K-because I-I didn't tell Ash that I-I'm leaving" he said crying. He hugged her grandfather and grandmother until Zech fell asleep until they got off the plane

Ashleigh POV

The next day the water was very high and it reached the 2nd floor of the building and the evacuation center was full of tears. When the rain started Ashleigh's family left the evacuation center "Mommy, Daddy where are you now? we're going now and we can't go back to the house because it was damaged by the flood?" Ashleigh said tearfully "We're going home to the province with your grandmother and grandfather in Maguindanao" replied her Daddy. while they were traveling Ashleigh was playing with the bracelet that Zech gave him and wondering if Zech is okay because he didn't see it at the evacuation center, he just thinks that Zech went to another evacuation center and they didn't drown in the flood. It was night when Ashleigh arrived in the province of grandma and grandpa and because of the long flight, Ashleigh fell asleep when she arrived because she was tired.
