Chapter 3: The Plan

Xu and Alex sat in a small café on the outskirts of the city, sipping coffee and discussing their plan of action. They had spent the past few days gathering information, scouting out the corrupt families' operations, and identifying potential allies.

"Okay, so we have a good idea of the layout and security measures," Xu said, his eyes scanning the notes in front of him. "But we need to figure out how to get inside."

Alex nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "I've been thinking about that. I know someone who might be able to help us."

"Who is it?" Xu asked, his curiosity piqued.

"Her name is Maya," Alex replied. "She's a skilled hacker and tech expert. She's been helping me gather intel on the families, and I think she might be willing to help us get inside."

Xu raised an eyebrow. "What's her motivation?"

Alex smiled. "Maya has a personal vendetta against the families. They hurt someone she cares about, and she's been seeking revenge ever since."

Xu nodded, impressed. "I like her already. Let's meet with her and see what she can do."

Maya turned out to be a petite, dark-haired woman with a fierce determination in her eyes. She listened intently as Xu and Alex explained their plan, her fingers flying across her keyboard as she worked her magic.

"I can get you inside," she said finally, a small smile playing on her lips. "But it won't be easy. The families have top-notch security, and they won't hesitate to kill anyone who gets in their way."

Xu nodded, his mind racing with possibilities. "We'll take that risk. What do you need from us?"

Maya's eyes locked onto his, her gaze intense. "I need you to trust me, Xu. I need you to trust that I can get you inside, and that I'll do everything in my power to keep you safe."

Xu hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "I trust you, Maya. Let's do this."
