CHAPTER 5

Taehyung didn’t hear from Jungkook for a few days and it was making him worried.

He tried not to be but I nothing was helping it. That day, Jungkook left taehyung

alone in that restaurant with a big smile and so much determination on his face.

He had never seen Jungkook like this since he met him. It was raising much doubts

in his head. He was getting scared of the whole outcome at the end.

He wasn’t scared for himself. He was scared for Jungkook and his parents. He didn’t

want any harm come to them. He didn’t want the jeon couple to be disappointed or

upset at him.

After all, he was doing all of this only to keep the relationship with a happy jeon

family. He didn’t want jungsu and yoona worry for their son anymore.

After thinking so hard, taehyung decided to visit the jeon family. He wanted to see

how Jungkook was doing by his own eyes.

After leaving his university, taehyung went to the jeon mansion for dinner. He called

jungsu beforehand to let him know about it.

When he reached there, jungsu was already waiting for him.

“Taehyun hey!” jungsu greeted him with a tight hug, taehyung noticed that he looked

really happy. There was no evidence of stress from the other day.

It made him feel happy, also confused. He looked at yoona who also looked really

happy.

“Taehyung-ah hi!”

“Hello noona.” Taehyung greeted her with a hug.

“It’s so nice you came for dinner. Missed noona that much hm?” yoona said ruffling

taehyung’s hair. Taehyung chuckled and nodded his head.

“Come on. It’s already late. Let’s finish dinner first then we can talk.” Yoona said

taking them to the dining hall.

Taehyung was waiting patiently to ask for Jungkook until now. He thought it would

be odd to ask for Jungkook just after entering the house. But now he couldn’t wait

anymore.

“Um noona where is Jungkook? Wont he eat?” taehyung asked sitting on a chair.

“Uh he is studying tae. Let me serve you first, then I will go and call him.” Yoona

said happily and started to serve taehyung.

Taehyung bit his lips when he heard that Jungkook was studying. That meant

Jungkook started to change himself already.

He looked at jungsu who was also smiling at the mention of his son. Taehyung

decided to ask more about Jungkook when left to call Jungkook.

“Hyung how is Jungkook now? Did he cause trouble after that?” Taehyung asked.

Jungsu’s smile widened. He shook his head and said,

“No taehyung… I don’t know what happened but after that day he didn’t cause any

trouble. He has been going to college regularly and attending his classes. He is also

studying hard. He said he wants to pass with good marks.

I don’t know what happened and how happened. I even him about his sudden change

and he only said he wants to be better…no he wants to be the best. Whatever it is, I

am really happy. He looks happy too taehyung-ah. I hope this continues and he

changes for good.”

Taehyung was listening all of these without uttering any word. He was happy to hear

it, no doubt in that but an uneasy feelings filled his chest. He didn’t know why but

he felt like was doing something wrong.

He couldn’t help but think that.

But still taehyung was feeling guilty for some reason.

Yoona smiled when she saw Jungkook studying attentively. For the past few days,

Jungkook had been coming back home straight from the college and study for the

whole evening. He only ate when his parents forced him to.

Yoona saw a new determination on Jungkook’s face. She didn’t know what was the

reason behind this but she was liking this a lot.

“Jungkook? Baby let’s go eat.” Yoona said sweetly to his son who didn’t even bother

to look at her, too busy revising the chapter for the nth time.

“Later mom…if you can, send food here. I will eat later.” Jungkook said flipping

another page.

Yoona sighed and walked closer to him. She put her hand on his shoulder and rubbed

his tensed muscle before speaking.

“Baby you have been studying for so long. Taking breaks will help you studying

better. Come on let’s go.”

“Mom please. I don’t have time. I have a class test tomorrow.” Jungkook said

annoyingly while trying to focus on the book.

“Taehyung has come. He-

“

“Taehyung?”

Yoona got startled a bit at the sudden attention Jungkook put on her.

“Umm yeah..he came for dinner. He asked for you too.”

Yoona couldn’t see her son’s reaction as the other ducked his head. If only she could

see how Jungkook’s lips formed a smile and eyes sparkled in happiness.

“o-oh…umm ok then…I am coming, you go…I will be there in a minute.”

Yoona smiled hearing that and nodded her head before heading out to the dining hall.

As soon as yoona was out of the room, Jungkook hurriedly got up and changed his

clothes first. He wore a nice, decent outfit and fixed his hair before going downstairs.

When he reached the dining hall, he saw taehyung talking to his dad with a small

smile on his face. His heart filled with happiness seeing him after days. That smile

was like a reward to him.

He got reminded once again why he was doing all of these, why he was trying to be

the best version of himself, getting rid of all the bad habits he had, which was not

easy at all.

But he was ready to do everything, for the sake of taehyung, to have the elder to

himself.

He slowly walked to the dining hall and sat beside taehyung instead of his mom. He

noticed how taehyung got tensed at his presence so closely to him but didn’t mind

it.

His mom served him and he quietly started to eat enjoying taehyung’s warmth beside

him. He didn’t say anything during the whole time. He was content enough to hear

taehyung’s deep baritone voice speaking softly to his dad.

It was until taehyung talked to him.

“Hyung was telling me you are studying well. Don’t pressurize youelf too much.

Take it easy.”

Jungkook’s heart hammered inside his chest. It felt oddly good to hear taehyung

talking to him like this after knowing he had romantic feelings for him. Even after

knowing everything, taehyung still cared for him, he didn’t cast him away. He gave

him a chance,

His greediness knew no bound. He was too happy.

He nodded his head with a smile. The determination he had in him became double.

There was no way he was gonna let taehyung go, never.

After dinner, taehyung decided to leave, he went out to his car and waited for a few

minutes to consume everything he learnt that day.

Jungkook was changing. He could see it properly on his face, he honestly didn’t

know what to feel at that time. He was happy and guilty at the same time.

He was about to start his car but then suddenly someone flashed a light on his

window. He frowned and opened the car window to see who it was.

There was Jungkook flashing his flash light from the balcony. When the younger got

his attention, he raised his hand and waved at him.

Taehyung stared at him for a few seconds, watching how happy he looked. It didn’t

look like he was sacrificing all his luxury and focusing on study, not to mention he

hated it.

How easily he did it!

He sighed and raised his own had to wave at him. The smile on Jungkook’s face got

wider. Taehyung couldn’t help but smile at him too. The younger looked too adorable

after all.

After a minute, he started the car and drove off, leaving the younger alone to suffer

in longing and desire.

Taehyung got busy after that. He had lots of work as the principal of one of the best

universities in Korea. He didn’t texted or called Jungkook after that day. He didn’t

even go to meet him. He wanted to give Jungkook enough time to think about

everything,

At that time, maybe he was desperate. He took mindless decision and it could change

anytime, taehyung wanted to see if the younger would still be desperate.

Taehyung finished some work and went to his office to rest for a bit. All the work

was giving him a bad headache.

But as soon as he closed his eyes, his phone rang. He received it without any thought

when he saw it was jungsu.

“Hello hyung.”

“Taehyung! Buddy I need a favour please.”

Taehyung frowned when he heard jungsu’s tensed voice. He stood up from his chair

and hurriedly ask jungsu,

“What happened hyung? Tell me.”

“Tae Jungkook fainted in his college due to exhaustion. Me and your noona are in

London now to attend a meeting, nobody is at home except the maids. Taehyung-ah

his college is just beside your university. Can you please go there and take him

home? I am so worried for him. I-I don’t know whom to call right now.”

“J-jungkook….o-ok hyung I am going right now. Dot worry about him ok? I am

here. I will call you after taking him home.” Taehyung said and hurriedly took his

coat and car keys before running out of his office.

“Ok taehyung-ah thank you. Please call me when you reach home.”

“Ok hyung. Bye.”

Taehyung cut the call and ran to his car. He started the car and sent a quick message

to his vice principal to let him know that he was gonna be unavailable for the rest of

the day.

It only took a few minutes to reach Jungkook’s college. He came to this college

many times and he knew where the infirmary was.

He ran to there and saw Jungkook laying on the small bed of the infirmary. A canola

was attached to his body, dark cirlces looked prominent under his eyes. He looked

so tired and exhausted.

He sat beside the younger and held his hand softly before calling him with the softest

voice.

“Jungkook?”

Jungkook opened his eyes immediately when he felt the touch and heard his voice.

“Taehyung...”

“What did you do to yourself?” Taehyung asked with a devastated voice.

“I am fine. I just fainted for a few minutes. I am completely fine now. I need to be

in the class but they are not letting me go.” Jungkook said with a shaky voice. He

was so tired that he couldn’t even speak well.

Taehyung ducked his head and sighed heavily in pure heartbreak.

“Jungkook did you even look at yourself? You look terrible? Are you even sleeping

and eating at all?”

“I am.”

“Shut up. Don’t lie. I cant believe you can be this careless. This is how you are going

to prove huh? I told you to be mature and get rid of the bad habits and now you are

adopting new ones? What-

“

Before taehyung could even finish, Jungkook sat on the bed and cupped his cheek.

“No no don’t say that please. I am trying I swear. It’s just…my final exam is near

and I need to study to have good marks. I don’t want to disappoint you.”

“Jungkook-

“

Taehyung was about to say something but the person who was I nchager fo the

infromary came to them.

“Oh Mr. Kim…what are you doing here?”

“Um I came here to take Jungkook home. Its not that serious, isn’t it? Does he need

any medicine?” Taehyung asked, still holding Jungkook’s hand.

“No no if he takes proper rest, he won’t need any medicines. Just make sure he is

resting and eating well.” The guy said making taehyung sigh in relief.

“Ok I will be taking him home then.” Taehyung said, getting up. But Jungkook shook

his head, not wanting to go home. He was too stubborn.

“Let’s go home. I will spend the rest of the day with you hm?” Taehyung whispered

to Jungkook who stopped denying instantly. He slowly nodded his head with a smile

and got off the bed with taehyung’s help.

Taehyung took Jungkook’s bag in one hand and by the other hand, he hold

Jungkook’s waist tightly. Jungkook smiled and held taehyung’s coat with his shaky

hand.

Taehyung led him to his car and gently helped him getting into before getting in

himself.

“Shall we go?” Taehyung asked once he was settled in the car. Jungkook nodded his

head with a smile.

During the whole ride, Jungkook kept staring at taehyung while leaning against the

seat. Taehyung didn’t say anything though. He kept driving until the reached the jeon

mansion.

He again helped Jungkook getting out of the car and led him to his room. He told the

maids to bring some food to Jungkook’s room.

Once they were in Jungkook’s room, taehyung laid him on the bed and sat beside

him. Taehyung was about to stand up but Jungkook didn’t let him. He held his hand

tightly and whispered,

“Stay with me.”

Taehyung looked at their joined hands and nodded his head. Once the food arrived,

taehyung fed the younger who was feeling so much emotion at a time.

The man he fell in love with caring so much for him. He couldn’t help but tear up a

little. He wiped away his tears before taehyung could see it. He didn’t want him to

think as a crybaby.

Once he finished, taehyung laid him down again and said,

“Jungkook I am happy that you are taking studying seriously now but you can’t go

on like this. You need to take it easy. Stop overworking yourself. If you fall sick, all

of your hard work will go in vain.

Don’t do this ok? Eat well and take breaks when you need it. Don’t hold yourself

back.”

“I am sorry.”

Taehyung sighed for the nth time and shook his head. He raised hishand and patted

Jungkook’s head.

“No don’t say sorry. Its ok. Just don’t do this again. Your mom and dad are really

worried.

I need to call him too. Now close your eyes and get some sleep. I will be here once

you wake up.” Taehyung said stroking Jungkook’s hair lovingly.

Jungkook smiled and nodded his head before closing his eyes. Taehyung waited until

Jungkook fell asleep and then got up to call jungsu to let him know about Jungkook’s

condition.

When he finished talking to him, he came back to Jungkook. He took his bag that

was on the bed and went to the small cupboard to keep it there.

But then suddenly something fell from his bag. It was a diary.

The diary opened and pictures of taehyung and many confessions became visible.

He took the diary in his hand and flipped the pages. In every page, there were

confessions from Jungkook he loved taehyung with all his heart.
