The support group meetings quickly became a cornerstone in Alex and Ethan’s week. Alex’s heart skipped a beat. The thought of attending a school dance as a couple was both thrilling and terrifying. But looking into Ethan’s hopeful eyes, he found his courage. “I’d love to go with you, Ethan.”

Ethan’s face broke into a wide grin. “Really? That’s awesome! I was so nervous about asking.”

Alex smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. “Yeah, it’ll be a big step, but I think we’re ready.”

Over the next few weeks, they prepared for the dance together. They talked about what they would wear, how they would handle any potential reactions from their classmates, and most importantly, how they would support each other through it all.
