Blue Mask: A Festival
While Vincent was sleeping, Miranda was out shopping for groceries.
Miranda
You're sweating a lot.
Vincent
Just had a nightmare.
She looks at him worried.
Even though he was drunk, he still remembered what he told her last night.
He gave her a smile so that she wouldn't worry about him.
Vincent
I'm alright, Miranda.
The sudden noise outside caught Vincent's attention. He looks out the window and saw what looked like a parade and festival.
Miranda
Apparently, its the Yeast Festival.
Miranda
Today is the Yeast Festival, the town is giving thanks for bread.
Vincent
Sounds interesting.
Vincent
Let's go take a look outside.
Miranda
It doesn't start until later in the evening.
Vincent
That doesn't mean that there's nothing to do before then.
Vincent
Come on, let's go enjoy the festival.
Vincent grabs her hand and drags her outside with him.
As the full scene comes to view, Miranda was blown away at the liveliness of the festival.
Just like Vincent said, just because it wasn't evening yet, doesn't mean there wasn't anything to do.
When she went out shopping earlier, she didn't pay any attention to these. But now with Vincent beside her showing her what could be enjoyable about the festival, she couldn't help but feel fuzzy inside.
They went from booth to booth checking out weird, interesting, and particular items.
When it got close to the evening, Vincent went and got them snacks to snack on.
Miranda took a bite, and was surprised at how delicious it was. The meat melted right into her mouth with a sweet salty taste.
She gave a nod and took another bite.
Soon evening came, and they found the perfect spot to watch the parade and firework.
Miranda was awestruck by the beautiful scenery before her. Her eyes glitter with the scene.
Vincent smiles at her reactions.
Vincent
First time seeing this?
Vincent
You've never been to a festival before?
Miranda
I never had the time, nor the freedom.
Miranda
...My family was strict about a lot of things.
Miranda
I left them to get my freedom, and I'm glad that I did.
Miranda turns and looks at Vincent. She gave him a bright and lovely smile for the first time ever.
Vincent had never seen her smile before, so when he saw it, his face started to turn red.
He blurt out a few words that made Miranda blush as well.
Vincent
You're really cute when you smile.
Both of them turn away from each other and could feel the heat raising from within.
Soon, the festival was over, and they decided to head back.
On their way back, Vincent bumped into a person.
Old Man
Oh no, that was fault.
Old Man
...young man, I hope you don't regret the path you are taking.
