Chapter 2: Savings

"Nice to meet you."

He wasn't sure what to do so he just stared at the female. Shimiku approached him unexpectedly, making him nervous. Shimiku murmured something to him in Japanese, which he didn't comprehend. And he barely awoke from the dream as his cellphone rang an alarm.

He was astonished and sat on his bed, gazing out the window. "What just happened in my dreams?" he asked himself.

He heard his mother screaming downstairs

"Hikaru! Anong oras na! Wala ka bang balak pumasok sa school?!" ("Hikaru! What time is it! Don't you plan to go to school?!") His mom said it out loud

"coming in!" He said.

When he arrived at school he saw his friends and approached them.

"You will not believe what I tell you." Hikaru said

"Good morning buddy hehe~" Shu said.

"Morning, what is it." Firu said.

"I dreamed-" He suddenly wondered if he should tell because he knew they wouldn't believe him.

"Ha?" Shu said.

Just forget it. Hikaru said.

The two are confused.

After class, he heard the girls discussing about Shimiku's concert in their city and raced home without saying goodbye to his pals. When he got home, he walked upstairs and checked the laptop in his room for Shimiku's home page. It's true that she has a concert next week; he studied every detail, and it costs P5,000 per person.

He wondered where he would get that money.

"Saan naman ako kukuha ng ganong kalaking pera...." ("Where am I going to get that much money...") Hikaru said.

He thought of a way, the next day he tried to apply to a cafe to do a part time job.The Manager looked at him and the applications he gave.

"Ilang taon ka na ba?" (How old are you?) Manager said.

"I will be eighteen in August." Hikaru said.

"Working student huh." Manger said.

"Yes Manager." He said.

The manager rolled his eyes

"Sige na nga pasok ka na, pagbutihin mo kung Hindi pwede kitang tanggalin." (Go ahead, do your work so I can't fire you.) Manager said.

Maraming salamat po! (Thank you so much)

He said thankfully.

Since then, every time classes are over, his friends see that Hikaru comes home early, as if he is always in a hurry.

When it was Thursday and Shimiku's Concert was tomorrow, Hikaru saw that the savings were still not enough.

"Ano pa ba dapat kong gawin!" ( "What else should I do!") He sighs

When it was late afternoon and he was going to the Cafe, suddenly someone grabbed his arm and when he turned around it was a scary man.

"Where are you going Kid?" A tough man Said.

"T-to my part time job Sir." Hikaru said with politeness.

"Come with me first." Tough man Said.

"Wa-wait! Where we are going! I have part time today, I'm going to be late if I'm going with you.

said Hikaru said feeling nervous

Tough man pulled him.
