Episode 5

A light shines thru the window, illuminating the room during the hazy morning, breeze of wind thug the curtain gently, the noise of the town slowly reaches the ears of Hans and Frenia.

Taking their shoes and gloves on, their step is ready to touch the outside world, met by people walking to their own destination.

While Hans appearance stayed the same, Frenia has a new look, before, her sole motivation is just to attract men and steal their energy, with black seductive midi body con, tight-fitting dresses, contrast with her skin tone, no men can escape her. Now, she wears plain white clothing and a black cloak hiding her ears, a bow and arrow was her chosen weapon even though she mainly uses magic.

They arrive at a Livery Stables, a place to rent a service for a travel town to town.

"Salvar"

He tossed a bagful of silver coins, one silver equal to 0,5 Eras.

Taking a look at the bag.

"Yes Sir!"

The driver understood the assignment and got into his position, till they finally departed, Leaving Alea Town behind.

"Hans..."

"You feel weird"

Said Frenia, while her eyes were staring at his wrist, radiating little amount of light.

He looked at her for a while, till he revealed his hand, with a red symbol engraved on his wrist.

"Your boss gave me this"

Showing his hand to her.

"She is not my boss!"

Slowly, she touches the symbol, sensing it, then her body shaking for a while, like tasting lemon.

A silhouette of black creatures with glowing red eyes flashes on her head, a hint to not disturb the dark.

"Now you look weird"

With the intention of making fun of her terrified look, sadly his face didn't look playful.

"You...Anyway"

"Where are we going?"

Taking his side bag, Hans reveals a map, on the map, everything on the continent is drawn, but it lacks detail.

"Frei Valley, said there's an artifact"

"Do you even need that?"

"I thought your head was just filled with revenge"

Days after days, the sun and moon accompany their journey, beautiful sunsets to lurking dawn have passed, they arrive at a small village.

The driver then departed, his horse quickly dashing with the cart into his next destination, while Hans and Frenia, standing in the entrance of the village...

"Hans i feel something in the village"

Her hand pointing at a church in the middle of the village, arriving at night, only few people can be seen.

"What ? you scared with prayer?"

He takes his step into the entrance, Frenia looks scared, her hand held Hans cloak from behind, like a child in a horror movie.

Almost no light in the village, except one mini hut filled with few people drinking liquor, the building has a mug filled with beer banners, hinting at a public drinking place.

The door wasn't closed, so they entered the pub, and were greeted by the owner who was also working in the place, a small but cozy place to spend the night.

Sitting at the corner, both of them were only looking at the scene, Hans got a glass however Frenia look like a kid that want to go home.

"If you behave like that, people will suspect you"

Hans hand his mug filled with beer to Frenia.

Standing up, she walks and sits beside Hans, trying to reach his ear and whisper.

"What artifact are you looking for?"

"Key to Celestial Realm"

"i'm just wondering.."

"What"

"Can you really take them down?"

"I understand you are strong and with Lord Darkness help, you might be even stronger, but—"

"How sweet of you thinking about me"

"I never think of can or cant, i just feel i can, and i will"

"It's time for you to answer, why are you following me?"

"I dont have a choice!"

"Dark abyss probably in a war, the Demon Tower is filled with vampires"

"You have a choice to go somewhere instead of following me"

"I fell in love with you"

"More like my energy"

"Exactly!"

The conversation ends, one of the drunkards approaches him and asks,

"Excuse me...Adventurer?"

"Im-blurp-im the head village here"

"I never....SEE-You in there"

"Uhuk-uhuk-uhuk-may i....know"

"Frenia answer him"

He takes the mug and continues drinking, while closing his eyes, enjoying the flavor.

"Right—wait what?"

"We-we are taking commision to hunt a monster nearby..heheh"

Lying and Forcing a smile on her lips, she answered with a slight stutter.

The drunkard, appears to be some kind of authority in the village, taking a seat in front of them.

"Ahhh Monster....YOU MUST DIE—"

The drunkard suddenly pulled a knife from his pocket, his hand quickly pointed the knife to Frenia, about to stab her before his hand was caught by Hans.

"What a nice welcome"

Hans increases his grip strength, the drunkard struggling to free his hand.

"you-THE HERO IS HERE!"

The drunkard shouts loudly, making everyone realize the scene, people quickly gather around, with their own weapon on hand.

Hans was surprised, he vanished himself for years but people still recognize him.

Hearing the drunkard screaming his old title, with no hesitation he stab him with a sword, the black sword bathes in blood, then suddenly glows a little.

'I want more"

A strange voice passed on his head.

His vision started to blur, everything turned red, until he lost control...

His red eyes turn into a golden glow, with no expression, he takes his step to the crowd, everyone only points the weapon at him, trying to scare him, Frenia with her eyes focus on the sword, only standing in place, watching.

Hans without control over his body, starts slashing everyone into peace, blood splat and rain everywhere, more than ten people die under a minute, the sword which is originally black, now has blue color.

The sword glows, absorbing the blood nearby, sucking energy from the body, Hans body starts to shiver, and suddenly, one black wing bursts from his back, the same wings that Restvhia has.

Still under the control of the sword, he turned his head toward Frenia, for a second she only stared, until she realized he was walking toward her.

Her eyes started to panic, taking a step backwards, until she hit a wall, nowhere to run...
