Beauty: Day In The Sun
So many centuries were bygone, and still I've never forgotten the name I once bear, "Darya Miller." The actual name of the body I possessed earlier centuries ago.
Darya Miller was the only daughter of the general, who was blind and affected by an incurable optic illness that made her lose her sight.
I possessed the body because she had asked for my help to cure her blindness and in turn she never knew the huge sacrifice she had to pay after unwittingly, had traded her life for sight.
However, after six months of our deal my body had completely worn out. I came for her mortal body and life, because once I possessed your body, your soul perished as my temporary energy gave life to the body for other century -- 100 years, then it wore out again.
And that's how I've been going about, seeking for who is next to use and dump, based on how attractive and beautiful you are, in order to extend my life and live forever.
Apparently, Darya was my muse from years back, since I was her designer -- a royal tailor. Her beauty, figure was a complete entity of a gorgeous 'em drop dead human that no else where I had found that kind of a beauty so far in the realm of the mortal.
But, just one thing spoiled her beauty and it was a big stigma to her -- blindness. Because of her blindness, Darya was mocked and abused by the entire household of the general. Not just her home, but everyone in that nation, either used her, abused her or made jest out of her stigma.
At that particular point in time, I can still recall how the maids in the courtyard usually make her a nice gossip topic, whenever the suitors asking for her hand in marriage later back down, after hearing sores things about her.
But, still the general loved his daughter so much out of all his five children -- boys. Darya was the first daughter and only female child of the great general.
Back then, I was somewhat close to her. A friend I guessed, if she had regarded me as one.
Darya was a furtive person that barely mingled with anyone in town, since no one liked her and wanted to be her friend. And even when they wanted to be her friend it was either to suck her up or gain access to her private life, in order to blackmail her. So I guess that's why she was so afraid to make friends too.
I had tried to come close to her, but it seems as if the more I drew close the more far she drifted. After trying and trying for a long time, I gave up that shit and was down for business. Then I disguise myself as a goddess sent to her.
Oh_ that's true! I almost forgot the part when I was even compared with Darya who was far way prettier than me.
Though the body I possessed then, was a bit lacking in figure, since in those ceuntry it was quite difficult for me to find someone too perfect, at least with so much beauty.
The reason I was being compared with Darya was because I was trying to be her friend and everyone in town might have found out somehow and they started to look for a means to get back at me for attempting to be a friend with a godforsaken.
Thus at the end of it all, I didn't just gain reward of the title of great healer, but also I got a new body like Darya's and everyone respected me so much, cause Darya's eyesight was restored and I was adored and ended a happy saga with her mortal body.
You want to know how Darya's saga ended?
Well, since she had received her sight, many suitors came from home and abroad, including the king of the nation. The strongest, most powerful and most handsome man in the nation had asked for her hands in marriage.
However, I got married to him and later had three kids, then…
That's all. I made a good ending for Darya and moved out to the next body, the next, the next and it goes on for over 13th century, till now.
After the archaic of those years eroded and was replaced by civilisation, modernity and technology. It was a new century and the world had become full of knowledge and intelligence.
Being I witnessed the bygone ancient times to the modern days, I shook my head and awe of how far the human world had come.
Standing on the top of the tallest tower on Earth, I took a distant view of the world with my uncanny sight and saw the beauty in the city like the day in the sun.
My days were now shortened and so soon I would need a new body to dwell in. That body was what I kept searching for so many years now, after 100 years were gone. But, I haven't found it yet. I'm still searching for a perfect, angelic human to be its host for another hundred years.
That's why I stood in a place where I was ubiquitous, to find that gorgeous woman, who's desperate for my help and the time continued to tick by that I was running out of patience.
After long hours of my vainless search, the darkness subdued the light and the body I wore started to burn off gradually as for the first time, I became scared.
In less than minutes if I couldn't find that body, I might vanish forever. My sharp lens was fixed on every human in the world that it watered, so usual.
Then, I spotted one. A beautiful human in highschool uniform, about to be knocked down by a swifting car on the driveway.
By then, the body I wore had flown away in the air as ashes, while my blue spirit dived instantly into the trance body of the human I laid my eyes on last. Then I also lost consciousness during the process of conveyance.
>>>
When I regained slight consciousness, my eyes were still shut close, as I heard the beeping sound of the respirator, which likely seems to be from a close distance, behind me.
The moment I opened my eyes, my vision was quite blurry, as I saw a face peering down on mine, calling a strange name, "Alexander," aloud that I felt like hitting the damn face to stop being so loud. Wherefore, noise was my most aversion.
Does it seem like I'm dying or regaining consciousness?
I was damn angry that I forced the feeble body I recently occupied to sit up, despite the declination of the gentleman seated before me.
Finally when I sat up, I suddenly felt a pang on her head as my head began to whirl around and around as I felt dizzy.
Damn weak human body! That made me prone to pain as long as I'm in this flesh.
"Be careful. You haven't recovered yet," The young man next to me said with so much concern and care, that it kept irritating me.
That's what I hate. I hate being pitied or shown sympathy by humans. Humans aren't meant to show me pity, cause they're my enemies and only deserve to hate me. Much like I'm craving for their hate to trigger me to do harm than good.
"Hey! easy. Don't take that off," He shouted at me in alarm the moment I pulled off the drip from the back of my right hand. Then, I felt some kind of relief.
With this new body, I'm not meant to undergo any form of mortal treatment, until a long while of the settlement of my entity.
"What's wrong with you?" His voice went back to normal as I melted his consternated gaze.
And goddamn!!! This human was a fucking alluring creature, that I couldn't stand another moment surveying his glamor look.
Then, I was so attracted to his handsomeness, that I pulled him by the collar of his shirt, closer to me with one of my hands and began to sniff his body as if I was going to eat him.
Of course I would have eaten him up if I had those sharp teeth from my previous existence.
He smells so good of roses fragrance that I couldn't control my emotions and passion for glamour that made me all over him, like a blanket clinging to the surface of something and if I had seen a way inside him, I wouldn't hesitate to cease that chance to not be inclined only just on the surface.
Almost before I knew it, he abruptly pushed me away with great energy as I fell back on the bed like a thin paper.
Only then, I realised that the body I had possessed was a skinny average teenage body that was smaller in stature as I took a brief look at my hand and then started feeling my face and body for some confirmation.
Just then, I heard the creaking of the door as I automatically shifted my gaze at the direction of the door, still lying down on the bed.
The elder man who stepped in just then, I had guessed, seemed to be the doctor, telling from his attire.
He wore a lab coat and heavy glasses that made him look like one -- a specialist.
He came over to my bed as the young man stood up and began to narrate to him my current behaviour.
Then I listened attentively.
"Will my sister be fine? She had been acting so usual the moment she woke up." He said worried.
When he voiced his concern, the doctor gave a brief sigh.
"Alexander seemed to have obtained a mental issue from the accident. I think it's the only bad effect she obtained so far and nothing more less than that. You people should be grateful that she survived a fatal accident like this. It's a miracle" Said the doctor with a marvellous tone in his voice.
It's actually not a miracle. The real owner of this body is death. If not for my soul in this body, by now the body would be lying cold in the grave.
"...Thank you uncle, I do appreciate it. I guess we would be more cautioned not to let Alexander off our watch again." The young man said politely to the elder man.
I just laid inert and watched them, babbling nonsense from their filthy mouths. Thinking that I wouldn't hesitate to cut it off, if not i had my powers.
Who had mental issues? Me?!
I suddenly snarled at them in anger as I felt like pouching their faces with my fist, if not for this weak body I dwelled that kept getting in the way.
By the sound of my repeated snarling they shifted their gaze at me and stopped talking. Staring at me with those eyes of bafflement, like I was a mad person, displaying a symptom of insanity.
