Kim Taehyung's vampire side was heartbroken and since Taehyung was an primordial vampire of the ventrue clan his mate's negligence towards him hurt him more.

Though Taehyung's parents successfully 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗶 but Kai's death weakened Taehyung's vampire side.
