School is now in session. My first day, and everyone wants to be my friend. You’d think I was a celebrity or something. After that embarrassing introduction, Matilda showed me through the day My first “class” was basically weapons practice. During practice, all the kids would practice their weapons, and a couple of teachers who had mastered all the weapons would help them with technique. Since I could cut a bullet in half with a wooden sword at close range, when I was practicing with my swords against some of Ilene’s squad, the teachers mostly left me alone. Ilene watched as she commanded the zombots. The only interruption was when one of the other students asked me to help them learn how to use swords. He said that he was new and wanted help so that he could learn faster. His name was Twilight. He was the one that the kids were talking about. The “black turtle,” for the rest of class, I helped him learn to step out of his shell and work better.
My next class was “academics” we had short, concise lessons that got to the point. It was one hour long and covered everything we would learn in a normal school. However, I was bored as usual. I didn’t understand things like everyone else did, but I could follow their logic. That’s why nobody understood my inventions. Because I think differently.
Lunch was next on the list. Since it was my first day, I was given a free lunch. I could have anything in the cafeteria. I just decided to have a sandwitch lunch. It included a ham and cheese sandwitch, acess to the salad bar, and a drink. Since they had to pay to feed me today, I just got all the cheapest stuff. The whole meal was only two dollars, and I got water instead of a different, more expensive drink. I was lucky to even have a sandwitch, muchless a sandwitch, a salad, and a drink. I didn’t have the salad. I was too used to having bread crumbs. I almost didn’t have enough room left in my tummy to finish the sandwitch.
Next class was Weapons 1. All the kids would go to classes specific to their close-range weapon and learn how to fight better with it. Since I was good enough with the swords, My teacher decided to set me in front of a dummy and practice.
“Well, can I actually fight some of my zombots because they are moving not standing still,” I asked.
“Sure,” she replied.
For the rest of class, I was trying to match the speed of Norbert’s minions as I fought them. It was all a whir of motion. I was fast, but not that fast. By the end of class, I was tired and sweating. I had made a special addition to Norbert. Now, I could wear him as armor and he can clean me with mist , and I’ll come out minty fresh. Also, He can dry me.
“Norbert equip,” I said. Within minutes, Norbert finished and left. The zombots from his squad followed him. Now, they were charging.
During the next class, we trained with our long-range weapons. I didn’t like how loud guns were. However, the pistol I was learning was the easiest gun, so now I just had to figure out how to aim. I couldn’t even come close to the target, but I didn’t hit any of my classmates.
Final class. Everyone in the school was there. It was practice fighting animal form. We would fight each other and try to master our powers. Each person, in animal form, would have a power. Only a few of the students had figured it out. There was a blue… creature that could breathe air and water, but it could control water. A green lion controlled all plants, big and small. A normal bighorn sheep could control the rocks, a red turantula controlled fire, and finally, the black turtle controlled shadows. I was put woth the descovery gorup, they were still trying to find out and use their powers. We would fight until we couldn’t or until one of us found our power, that way, our powers would manifest themselves when we need them.
During my fight today, I was up against a tiger the color of dirt. We clawed and bit each other for only a few minutes, then, as I got tired I felt something. It was like energy filling my body. Something… else was taking over. We were at a standstill. I felt myself being controlled by somebody… or something else. My eyes rolled to the back of my head. However, I could still see.
“Don’t you dare try to fight me,” I said, it was like my voice and another were speaking in unison, “you are no match. Now bow down before me.” What was going on. I would never say someting like that. Never. How could I stop this? Out of the corner of where the front of my eye used to be, I saw one of the teachers running towards me, turning into a golden wolf as she did so. My head snapped over to face her and I growled. “Who are you and why are you trying to attack me? Answer!” I said.
“I need to stop you! You can’t just hurt him for no reason!” She answered, looking confused that her mouth was moving when she didn’t tell it to.
“Sit.” My voice commanded. The wolf sat down, screeching to a halt before me. I walked away towards the animals who had already learned their powers. What was I going to do? I resisted, trying to retake control of my body. The green fawn and blue… thing were fighting. Using the elements to their advantage. THey stopped as I approached.
“Tsunami, Forest, where are we?” The students just stared at me. I felt more enrgy reaching out towards them and their eyes rolled back as well.
“We’re in a training session,” replied the fawn.
“Yes, we’re letting our hosts train to use our powers,” stated the blue thing.
“Very well, who’s the leader here?” I asked. The two creatures looked towards a human who was looking very confused. “More humans. Well, I’ll let my host take control again. Make sure to tell her my Legand! She now has awoken her powers.” I felt my eyes roll back to where they should be. The energy drained from my body. I fell to the ground. THe last thing I remember seeing was the fawn putting me on his back.
