Chapter 3- The Unsettling Emotions

Since it was Lily's first time being invited to dinner she was nervous, Lily's heart was pounding as she arrived at Leo's house for dinner. As soon as she knocked on the door, It was Liam who opened the door instead of Leo and welcomed her with a deep tone that left her feeling more uneasy.

As soon as they sat down at the dinner table, Lily tried to put her unease aside and passed the donut box to Leo, thanking him for inviting her. But Liam's questioning soon brought her back to her initial worries. His questions sounded more like he was sharing her information than asking for her information. Lily couldn't help but suspect that Liam had already done a background check on her.

As Liam continued to probe, Lily couldn't help but feel frustrated. If Liam already knew about her background, why was he questioning her? She decided to turn the focus around from her. "What's your occupation?" she asked, her voice steady despite her nerves.

For a moment, Liam went quiet. And then, suddenly, Leo interrupted. "Let's stop all this interrogation and have dinner," he said, trying to lighten the mood. But Lily couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't right. She couldn't wait to leave Leo's house and go home, where she could try to make sense of all that had just happened.

In the end, Liam learned that sometimes it's better to trust the people you love than to let your fears and doubts consume you. So he let his guard down around Lily and accepted her as Leo's friend. But he was still curious about her Identity
