Chapter 4: Whispers in the Night

The night enveloped us in its embrace, a silent witness to the delicate dance of longing and regret that unfolded beneath the shadowed canopy of stars. As I stood before her, the distance between us seemed to shrink, until there was nothing but the space of a breath separating our souls.

Her eyes, pools of violet in the darkness, searched mine with a hunger that mirrored my own. "Do you feel it too?" she whispered, her voice barely more than a sigh. "The pull of something greater than ourselves, drawing us together like moths to a flame?"
