Chapter 3

My father started driving. He was taking the back way. He takes the highway home not the back way, looking at how father was acting he is probably not going to leave mother alone. I looked right over at Haruto, he was giggling for the first time in a long time. I smiled at him.

"Haruto, are you laughing?"

"N-no im not"

"Father are we home yet I would like to tell mother about Haruto giggling"

"We are almost home"

"Okay!"

Kaito and Haruto were talking about sleepovers in the living room for tonight. I looked at Kaito. He smiled at me. I could feel my cheeks getting a little hot from the smile he gave me. His smile felt like I could trust it made me feel safe, like nothing will happen to me. Wait why am I thinking that, this is the first time seeing him in seven years. But still he did change a lot. He is seventeen,I'm fifteen. I'm noticing every little thing about him, his dyed black hair, his red eyes, how kind he is, his golden smile. Why would I be thinking this? I looked away and covered my face.

" Hinata, when did you dye your hair blue and pink?"

"I just like it okay"

"You don't have to say it like that"

I looked at Haruto. Haruto and I look like twins but he has black eyes, fluffy brown hair, he always wears black, he likes wearing rings a lot of them. However I have dyed my hair blue and pink, blue on one side and pink on the other. I have two different colour eyes, my fathers eyes and not my mothers. Father has black eyes just like Haruto, mother has blue eyes, I have one black eye and one green eye. Mother says it's because her grandfather had green eyes. So I believe it, I usually wear big t-shirts and shorts. I'm going to dye my hair red and black when I get home when father shares the news with us, and when he has a talk with me in the study.

"Haruto, do you have red and black hair dye?"

"Maybe I'm not sure I will check when we get home"

"Okay sounds good"

A few minutes later father pulls into the driveway and someone opens the doors for us. We all got out of the car, father looked at me and put his arm out for me. I ran to my father and hugged his arm. Kaito and Haruto both started to run to the front door.

"Father, why can't I run with them"

"Well maybe I didn't want to take you to the study maybe I wanted to take you to the garden today"

"Really?"

"Yeah now let's go there is something there for you"

I smiled and walked with my father to the garden. I let go of his arm and started to run to the garden. My father started to run too. Just like we used to do when I was just a little girl. I looked up to the window and stopped. Why was my mother watching us? Better yet she was smiling. I jumped. Father picked me up and put me over his shoulders. I was still watching the windows and saw Haruto.

"Father look we forgot Haruto"

"Oh"

He put me down and called someone over to call Haruto mother and Kaito. I saw an animal in the garden and there were two. Both puppies. I smiled. I heard Kaito yell my name so I looked behind me and Kaito ran and hugged me. Haruto did the same. Mother was just watching us while she walked towards her father.

"Father, what is over there?"

"Hinata Haruto, we got you both pets"

"Really?!"

"Yes, you both get to pick one"

I jumped around and kissed father and mothers cheeks, taking Harutos hand running over to the

puppies. We stopped before they got scared. I get down on my knees smiling. One of the puppies came up to me. I smiled more and picked the puppy up.

"I will call you Astro meaning Of the stars"

I watched Haruto pick up the other one. He looked closely at the puppy.

"Roy your name is Roy"

"That means red"

"Hinata, I know it means red."

Kaito helped me up and looked at Astro.

"Kaito, would you like to hold Astro"

"No im good"

"Oh well would you like to hang out with us in my bedroom"

"Sure"

Father looked at him.

"Haruto are you in?"

"Yeah I will get a movie or something"

"Okay, come with me Kaito"

I walked with Kaito. Astro was slowly falling asleep in my arms. He is the cutest thing ever. Kaito put his arm around my shoulder while we walked to my bedroom. Mother was keeping father from running after us. Kaito stopped and that caused me to stop.

"Hinata, I have black hair dye if you want help dying your hair"

"Oh thank you now all I need is red"

He smiled and opened the door for me. I walked in and looked around for a dog bed.

"Lets go to my bedroom"

"Okay and where is that?"

Kaito put his hand on the back of his head looking around.

"Oh it's upstairs sorry its a little big"

"A little big this is great"

I laughed.

"I guess I just got used to living like this"

"Maybe but which stairs"

I laughed more and took his hand while still holding Astro in my other hand. I showed him which stairs and walked up to my room with him. We got to my bedroom door. He opened it for me. I walked to my bed putting down Astro on the bed and started to make a little bed on the floor for Haruto Kaito and I. I looked around and saw a dog bowl in the corner of the room. I had a bottle of water so I put the water in one of the bowls and saw that there was a bag of food so I put a little food in the other bowl. Kaito walked around the room. I was watching him. I think I might like him just a little bit.

"You must have everything in this room"

"I don't have everything in here"

"What don't you have?"

"I don't have Haruto in here"

"Oh wait, that's right, where is he?"

"He is getting a movie from the movie room"

"You guys have a movie room"

"Yeah"

"You guys have everything"

I walked right over to him and hugged him. He hugged me back and picked me up. I looked down at him wrapping my legs around him so I wouldn't fall. Because I know him too well he would drop me. But he didn't drop me. I could feel my face getting hot again from having him look at me. I covered my face again. He laughed a little, why is this happening now? His red eyes, his smile. Why does he have to be so handsome, I remember him not like this. He got his face closer to mine. I looked away.

"Hinata are you okay?"

"Y-yeah, im fine"

"Are you sure you're really red? Did you get sick?"

"N-no im fine dont worry about me"

"How cant I worry about you, you might be sick."

"Im not look i'm fine"

He looked at me and put me down slowly, putting his right hand on my cheek and he started to lean in again, I backed up.

"Kaito, please don't do that, you're really close. Its my first day back"

"S-sorry Im just a little worried that you got sick from being outside"

I looked away and saw Haruto.

"Oh hey Haruto I was just checking your sister because she might be sick"

"Kaito she doesn't get sick that easily"

I looked at Astro and walked to the bed sitting next to him picking him up. I was petting him and sat him down next to me. I put my arms out to Kaito for a hug. All he did was walk the other way to Haruto. I slowly put my arms down and helped Astro down off the bed. I looked out the window, getting off of my bed I grabbed my blanket and sat down on the floor with Astro. Haruto came and sat next to me and hugged me. I didn't do anything.

"Hinata, look if you are really sick go to bed we will put on the movie and stay with you till father comes back so we can call the doctor"

"O-okay"

Haruto, I'm not sick. You know this. Haruto whispered in my ear.

"Why must you like that one? I will get a fact doctor to come and check on you"

"Brother, why must you lie to him?"

"Because it is the only way to make him not think you like him"

"Brother what if I want him to know"

We both stopped whispering to each other.

"Hey Kaito Hinata says that she likes-"

I covered his mouth with my pillow blushing.

"S-sorry Kaito, Big brother doesn't know what he is talking about"

"Oh it's fine but what do you like?"

"Popcorn yeah popcorn"

"Oh"

"Yeah, I will go make some and see if father is back"

" I will go with you"

"You don't have to Kaito"

He helped me up then picked me up while he walked out of the door. Looking back at Haruto I could see that he was smiling. That little- I was cut off when I heard someone talking from downstairs it sounded like my father and another man. I put my face into Kaito's chest so I didn't have to look at my father and so I looked like I was sick. Kaito smiled and walked down the stairs.

"Hello sir, and Mr.Sato"

"Hello Kaito, why do you have my daughter in your arms?"

"Mr.Sato she is sick and wanted to make popcorn so I helped her down the stairs but it looks like she is sleeping now"

"Go ask one of the maids or cooks to make popcorn"

"Okay but what about Hinata Mr.Sato"

"Once you ask the maid or cook just go back to her bedroom and put her in her bed and let the maids change her"

"Yes, Mr.Sato"

I'm not sleeping but if this is the only reason for Kaito and Father not to fight in front of someone then it works for me. Then I heard the most unbelievable thing.

"Mr.Sato, was that your daughter?"

"Why yes it was. She is feeling under the weather so you may meet her another day"

"When will I marry her?"

Kaito stopped what he was doing and looked down at me whispering.

"W-why didn't you or Haruto tell me you were getting married?.."

I didn't even know that I was in the first place I had to tell Haruto.

"You aren't marrying her till she is eighteen, but if he finds someone that she trusts to be her husband than she can marry him" my father said

"I can't wait that long"

"Three more years"

Kaito asked one of the cooks to make popcorn and to have one of the maids take it up for us. He started walking back to the stairs holding me. I closed my eyes for a few moments and fell asleep.
