On the other hand,the groups that started way before me had arrived in the dungeon more earlier than us in 4 days . Claire got paired up with the group and was really disappointed that she didn't get paired with me.

"I miss Elliot"

She couldn't just walk still thinking about Elliot's condition.

Despite her disappointment, Claire still did her best to keep up with the rest of the group. However, she couldn't help but feel uneasy about Elliot's absence and how it would affect their progress in the expedition.

She couldn't let her feelings for him distract her from the task at hand, but she couldn't stop herself from worrying about his condition.

She tried to put on a brave face, but she could feel the anxiety building up inside her.

While she struggled to maintain her composure, the rest of the group continued to make progress in exploring the dungeon.

They came across what seemed like an enormous chamber filled with ancient statues covered in cobwebs. The statues were carved from stone and depicted individuals wielding various weapons, some with sharp edges while others seemed more blunt in design.

The whole scene was eerie and unsettling, and it was apparent that the statues had remained undisturbed for a very long time.

"Is something wrong Claire?" Said Elowan with a concerned look

Claire felt startled when Elowan suddenly appeared beside her and asked if she was okay.

"Oh, uh...I'm fine." she responded with a nervous smile.

She tried to keep her focus on the expedition and not let her feelings for Elliot distract her.

"I was just thinking about someone."

She kept her words vague and didn't elaborate further on her thoughts, hoping to keep their conversation short and avoid further questions.

Elowan gave her a brief and skeptical look. It seemed like she could see right through her and could tell that she was hiding something.

"Are you sure that everything's okay? You seem a bit distant."

She felt stuck in an awkward dilemma between opening up and keeping quiet.

"Look, if it's really nothing important then I won't press the issue any further. But from my pov, it does seem like something is bothering you."

It was certainly interesting to see the dungeon's layout and its many different chambers and hallways.

It would surely be helpful in properly coordinating their expedition and ensuring that none of them got lost in this vast and imposing dungeon environment.

"Look, this chamber right here is where we are right now. So I think this hallway here should connect to the next chamber. But..."

The group began to follow Niko's suggestion and proceeded down the next hallway that she pointed out on the map.

The hallway was long and narrow, with only a few chambers branching out. The air in the hallway was rather cool and crisp, almost as if one were walking through an underground cavern.

As they neared the next chamber, they could see that the hallway narrowed even further and they might have to squeeze through a tight space. They all had to adjust their pace to accommodate this narrow passage.

"Ugh...this feels a bit claustrophobic," Elowan complained as she squeezed through the narrow passage.

The tunnel was narrow and packed with little space to move freely. They had to move very slowly in order to avoid bumping into each other and getting stuck.

It was definitely a bit uncomfortable, though the others agreed that this was the only way forward.

Soon, they arrived at the next chamber, which was much wider and spacious.

The group could finally let out a sigh of relief as the narrow passageway gave them more freedom of movement.

They entered the room and looked around, taking in the surroundings.

As the group emerged from the narrow passageway, they were unaware of the danger they were about to encounter.

They entered the wider chamber and proceeded to look around, examining the decor and the eerie atmosphere of the place.

But they did not realize that they had fallen into a trap until it was too late.

A magic circle has activated at the moment they arrived at the chamber,teleporting them to the deepest part of the dungeon.

"Welcome weaklings"

A mysterious figure suddenly appeared alongside demons and vampires that were atleast level 300.

"W-What...Where did you come from?!"

The mysterious figure and his demons appeared out of nowhere, taking the explorers by surprise.

The level 300 demons were quite powerful and intimidating. They all were looking at the explorers with an intense gaze, as if they were about to attack.

The explorers suddenly found themselves in a precarious situation, surrounded by demons and a formidable figure who appeared to be their enemy

"I am the demon lord Lilith, the demon lord of death and despair"

A cold and menacing aura emanated from the demon lord as she revealed her identity.

Her ominous presence alone caused the explorers to tremble in fear and dread, and they quickly realized that they were in a very dire situation.

The demon lord named Lilith was clearly a fierce and unrelenting enemy, and her demons' level 300 status was more than enough to prove just how dangerous they were.

"I have lured you all to the deepest part of my domain just for the fun of watching you suffer."

Lilith's cruel words only further exacerbated the fear and anxiety that had taken over the students minds.

The demon lord was completely unapologetic about her actions and seemed to enjoy toying with the students.

"And now, it's time for you all to face the consequences of your foolishness."

Lilith laughed menacingly, as her demon companions also let out laughs of mockery and amusement at the explorers' fear and helplessness.

The demon lord was clearly enjoying herself at the students' expense as they were caught off-guard and powerless to defend themselves.

"It seems like you guys are pretty helpless right now," Lilith continued in her nonchalant and condescending tone.

"I'm sure that you are all wondering what my plans are. Well, I'll tell you. I'm going to slowly and painfully rip out each of your souls and use them as a sacrifice. Your souls are precious to me and will give me a great deal of power."

"No way.... Lilith...How and why?"

Claire stood there trembling,tears started to appear in her eyes seeing Lilith.

"Your soul, in particular, is quite a treat for me, dearie. I've heard about you from a reliable source who knows you very well. I'm sure you know whom I'm talking about."

Lilith spoke with an amused and mocking tone, taking delight in Claire's reaction and her rising fear.

"Your soul would make a fabulous offering to the gods, as it's pure and innocent. Your soul will be mine, no matter what."

"I will revive my liege no matter what happens,even if I have to destroy this world" Said Lilith determined to do whatever it takes.

The demon lord seemed quite determined to claim Claire's soul and was not going to be deterred from her task.

She was prepared to go to any extent to take Claire's soul and offer it as a tribute to the gods.

Lilith's eyes blazed with a sinister and unyielding purpose as she spoke with a chillingly determined tone.

"Your soul will be mine, no matter what it takes."

"I can't let this happen!" Claire exclaimed, her panic and fear growing with the thought that her soul might be taken away from her.

Despite all her efforts to contain her emotions, Claire could not help but feel scared and helpless.

"I have a favor for you to ask Elliot or should I say Kouta Fujiro"

Elliot was taken back by what he said, Never in his new life told anyone about his past life.

"I have been in this weakened state for a long time, and I am starting to fade due to my inability to achieve complete awakening as a fragment of a greater being."

"I am passing the fragments of my power onto you, Elliot. Be a better fragment than me and use these fragments to their fullest potential.

Your presence alone already seems to make the heavens tremble, and you may even be able to surpass my power in time."
