An old friend

It's the next day and early in the morning Ian leaves with his mother to the doctor appointment.

(In the Doctor office)

Doc Charles: Ok, so its nearly been a month. How are you doing Mrs Li, how are you feeling?

(Doctor Charles is the one mainly looking over Su Li health)

Su Li: I am doing great, I feel energized.

(She has been on treatment ever since her diagnosed two years ago it's the reason why Ian works two jobs, so that he can pay for her treatment, even though he gets exhausted every day and hasn't had time to catch up with friends.)

A month ago her health had gotten worse due to over working, that was why Ian was always so anxious even with Su Li doing small chores and would cautious her to rest more. Because Ian became stressful with everything on his shoulder, Su Li felt so bad depending on her son to do everything that was why she would atleast try to make breakfast for Ian.

Su Li spoke all these thing to the Doctor Charles, and Ian almost cried hearing all these things coming out of his mother mouth. He truly then realised how much his mother cared for him even though she was sickly and weak.

Ian cried to his mom and she comforted him, while the Doctor just watched on silently because he knew this was a hard thing for both of them.

After a while Ian calmed down a bit.

Doc Charles: Well i can see improvement, though it's not back to the way it was before you'll get there if you continue to do what you do. Make sure to get enough rest and take prescriptions on time.

Su Li: I will, Thank you, Doctor Charles.

Ian: Yes, thank you Doc Charles.

Doc Charles: No problem, you can go now.

(They exit the hospital and Ian calls for a taxi for his mother. She gets in and was on her way to home. Ian watched as the car took off.)

It's almost the meeting time, so Ian goes to the location in order to be early though Wang Jiang beat him to it.

(Ian sits at the table)

Wang Jiang: Hi, what took you so long.

Ian: I was trying to figure out which why to go. So what do you want to talk. (got straight to business)

Wang Jiang : Oh, I just wanted to know how my dear friend was doing.

Ian: [What is he talking about, we weren't that close of friends. What's he up too.] ok, is that the only reason.

Wang Jiang: While... nah, nothing serious just wanted you to know how great I've been.

Ian: {side eye to side} what…

Wang Jiang: Yeah life been on my side lately, I just got a promotion a few days ago. I got promoted to General manager at SH Corporations, one of, if not the biggest company in the world right now. And I got invited to a dinner party only for the elites, not that you would know anything about. What about you still stuck living with your poor mom. {laugh historically}

Ian got up from the table and left Wang Jiang there still laughing.

Ian:[I knew I shouldn't have come here, what did you expect Ian for him to turn over a new leaf.] {crying, walking}

(Bumps into someone)

Ian: I'm sorwy {sobbing} {looks up, shock} it's you.

Jian Xuan: ....

They go over to a bench in the park and for some reason Ian felt comfortable to tell Jian everything that's been bothering him. While Jian Xuan hold him in his wide arms and listened.

At the end of the conversation Jian wiped away Ian tears.
