Episode Two:

Kim Sujin, exhausted from a night of intense contemplation and crime scene investigation, felt the weight of weariness. Despite his fatigue, the memory of his family's existence fueled a determination to delve deeper into the case. The police summoned Lee Chayeon's husband to the crime scene, and upon his arrival, the air became heavy with tension. Witnessing his wife's lifeless body, he trembled, unable to comprehend the shocking crime. "Chayeonnnn," he uttered, breaking into tears.

After the long night, Kim Sujin returned home early in the morning, lost for words. His daughter Miso eagerly awaited him, blissfully unaware of the storm her father faced. Sujin, after hugging his daughter, went straight to his room. His wife followed him, confused, and asked, "Honey, what happened? Are you alright?" He responded, "No, I'm not. I came to change my clothes; it was a really long night." Then, he revealed the details of the crime. His wife, shocked, exclaimed, "What? How could they do that? Who is that person?" Kim Sujin responded firmly, "That's our question."

Heading to work, Kim Su-jin searched for clues in the area where they found Lee Cha-yeong. The deserted farm revealed no immediate leads. Undeterred, he began walking, determined to uncover evidence. Suddenly, he spotted a small house hidden among the bushes. As he approached, he noticed it was made of wood and covered in dust. Attempting to enter, he found the door locked. In his quest for evidence, he glimpsed a figure in the window. Startled, he was struck on the back of his head, causing him to lose consciousness.

Upon regaining consciousness, Kim Su-jin found himself face to face with an old man who, surprisingly, threw his gun and police card to the floor. The old man studied Kim Su-jin with suspicion and questioned, "What are you doing here in my house?"

Kim Su-jin replied, "I'm here to ask you some questions."

The old man sternly ordered, "Get out of my house."

Observing an old photo of the man and his wife, Kim Su-jin inquired, "Where is your wife?"

This question angered the old man, intensifying his demand for Kim Su-jin to leave.

Undeterred, Kim Su-jin asserted, "Let me tell you something! A crime happened last night near this house."

The old man abruptly stopped, his silence hanging in the air. Kim Su-jin continued, determined to uncover the truth behind the crime that had shattered his own world. The old man's reluctance and the mysterious

 house became key pieces in the intricate puzzle that unfolded before the resilient detective.

Detective Su-jin began explaining to the old man what had happened, hoping to enlist his assistance in solving the case.

Su-jin continued, expressing the challenges of a police officer's life, mentioning the myriad cases that don't readily come to mind. He painted a picture of the demanding and often overlooked aspects of their work, hoping to convey the complexities they face daily.
