Episode 4: A memorable day with suprises , laughter and genuine connection

When I called Daniel Mohan, his mom told me he was in the middle of a bath. I asked her to tell him to come to my office. She wanted to know who I was, so I said I'm Emma. Surprisingly, she recognized me from what Daniel had told her and invited me for dinner, which I happily agreed to.

Soon, Daniel came to pick me up, but our car ride was awkwardly quiet. I assured him it's normal, and he shared concerns about what he told his mom about us. When we reached his home, his mom warmly welcomed me. We had a good time with laughter, conversation, and tasty home-cooked food. She even gave me a lovely sari as a gift.

Things took an unexpected turn when Daniel's mom mentioned a festival and suggested I could be their future daughter-in-law. This surprised us, and Daniel tried to stop her. The atmosphere got a bit tense, and the car ride back home was silent.

During the journey, I reassured Daniel, and we ended up laughing, dispelling the awkwardness. Back at my place, we spent more time together, creating a comfortable feeling. Eventually, Daniel said goodbye and went back home.

Thinking about the day, I felt happy and grateful for Daniel's family's hospitality. The experience had surprises, laughter, and genuine connections. The home-cooked meal reminded me of the special bonds formed during this unique day, leaving me feeling content and appreciative.

The next day was a holiday, and Daniel called me, suggesting we hang out, visit places, and go to restaurants. I replied, "I'm not interested, yaar," and abruptly ended the call. Sensing a change in my voice, Daniel called again, asking if I was ill. I admitted feeling a bit feverish, and he promised to be there in five minutes.

True to his word, he arrived at my place, finding it empty except for my friends who had left for the office. I was lying in bed, unable to eat properly. Daniel checked my temperature, scolding me for not informing him earlier. He brought me tablets and medicine, cooked a meal suitable for someone with a fever, and then slept over.

During this caring gesture, there was a moment of awkwardness when our hands touched. I reassured him not to feel awkward, and he continued taking care of me, using a wet cloth to reduce my temperature. In my thoughts, I appreciated having such a caring friend and promised not to let him down in our friendship. However, I couldn't shake off the fear that I might develop romantic feelings for him.

As I pondered on our friendship, another awkward situation arose when it was time to sleep. I suggested he take the bed, and I would sleep on the sofa, but he insisted on the opposite. In the midst of our argument, we somehow ended up falling asleep while holding hands, both of us unexpectedly tumbling onto the bed.
