I watched as he stared at his hands immensely with his legs apart while sitting on the couch
Since he didn’t reply, I figured walking up to him and getting closer would help… or so I thought
I walked up to him with open arms, preparing to give him a big and warm hug to cheer him up

Mikey rushed out of his position and backed me up into the wall, with his fist on the side of my face
He was never known for hitting a girl
As a matter of fact, he doesn’t even like hitting them unlike some of the other delinquents
I know he would never try to hurt me, but the way he is acting now, hurts me mentally

How am I supposed to calm down when one of my closest friend is dead?!?!
My heart was beating so fast and so loud that it was the only thing I could hear at this point
One part of me wants to cry, but another part of me wants to comfort Mikey
I know he’s hurting inside, he lost his brother a few years ago
And now, he lost one of his closest friend
It would be too much to handle
I couldn’t even imagine if I was him! He has suffered so much, much more than anyone else did!

Without hesitation, Mikey grabbed my face with one hand and pulled me closer to his face
He stared at me with an intense and intimidating look
No words were said, but I could tell he wanted me to stop talking
As he released my face, I heard him sigh and look up to the ceiling
Instead of saying anything, I quickly took Mikey in for a hug, rubbing his back to ensure everything was alright
His breathing was starting to go back to a normal pace, and as I heard breathing, I felt tears also

I got up to go start his shower and prepare a fresh towel for him
I remembered that he has clean clothes from the last time he stayed, so I pulled those out of the 「Clothes that need to be folded」basket and placed it nicely on his bed
