There was a noise of metal clanging and flesh being torn apart as Jake and Oros fought ferociously. Jake had a silver sword, the only weapon that could harm a vampire while Oros used his kind’s natural weapons which were razor sharp claws and fangs.
Jake aimed for Oros’ heart, slashing at him with his sword, the only way that one could kill a vampire. But he did not hit him because the speed and agility possessed by this vampire helped him evade the sharp edge. On the other hand, Oros launched swift attacks aimed at tearing open Jake’s throat or gouging his eyes.
Blood flowed freely from both sides leaving no doubt about how they had wounded each other in equal measure. Even with his strength and stamina ebbing away, Jake never gave up. For instance, he thought of his wife and children who were miles away but hoped to be safe. Again, he thought of his clan that he swore to revenge for even after death; and finally about his honor upon which he would never surrender.
Oros’ hunger and anger intensified but there was also some element of fear creeping into him. The Luna clan leader was not an ordinary werewolf but rather belonged to a rare group of powerful beings. He further realized that it was not on part of himself that Jake was fighting for but for his own people as well as kinfolk. In addition to this, Oros felt scared slightly when he noticed that Jake did not fear facing him out there on top of everything else.
They stared at each other fiercely, and saw their respective resolutions and hate for one another. They both bellowed, and charged towards each other for the last time. They collided, and it was over.
Upon being struck in the chest, Jake felt a sharp pain that came with Oros’ claws in his heart. He sucked in a breath, then dropped his sword. His eyes met with Oros’, who had a wide triumphant smile on his face. He knew he was defeated; he knew he was dying.
Oros felt a surge of satisfaction as he felt Jake’s heart stopping to beat. He retracted his claws out of him and released him from his grip, letting him fall to the ground like a ragdoll. He eyed Jake who had a defiant look on his face as if daring him for more. He knew that he had won; he knew that he had killed him.
He pointed up with both hands yelling “I have killed the leader of Luna clan! I have smashed these puny dogs! I have ensured vampire supremacy!”
He turned around to see the minions cheering and clapping at him. He looked back with a grin saying “Come my loyal followers let us drink our enemy’s blood, let us celebrate our victory and let us enjoy our glory.”
He advanced to where the bodies of Luna clan lay lifelessly on the ground before selecting one arbitrarily. His teeth sank into the neck and made way for blood to flow down into his mouth. Power surged through its veins while euphoria rode shotgun.
The silver sword impaling into his back until it reached his heart did not catch his attention at all. Neither did he hear those words which said, ” I love you Jake you are my number one love, "
He did not see the face of his killer, who was none other than Jake's wife, who had returned to avenge her husband. He did not feel the life leaving his body, as he collapsed to the ground.
He did not realize that he had lost. He did not realize that he was dead.

A few minutes ago, Evelyn, the queen and Luna's mother, had been carried away from the battlefield as Jake, her husband, had ordered. She felt a deep sense of unease. Even though she was weakened from giving birth to Luna, she didn't want to leave her husband alone with Oros. She knew Oros was an evil vampire lord who never kept his word, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something terrible was about to happen.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She exhaled and opened her eyes, but they were no longer black. They had turned blue, a sign that she had activated her werewolf powers. The moon shone on her cerulean eyes, creating a fairy-like glow. It was a sight to behold.
She moved swiftly and vanished, racing towards her husband. But when she got there, she saw them roar and charge at each other for the final time. They collided, and the outcome was decided.
She saw Oros plunge his claws into Jake's heart. Jake dropped his sword. She knew he was dying, and she could only take a silent revenge or she too would be killed.

Back on the battlefield, Oros's minions saw him drop to the ground. They were surprised at first, but their surprise soon turned to anger as they realized what had happened from the shadow behind him.
"Catch her!" one of the vampire elders shouted.
But Evelyn had already taken the body of her husband and fled into the woods. She ran straight towards the north, where some hidden white witches might be. 'They are the only ones who can save my husband,' she thought to herself as she ran.
The vampire elders chased her, but they were doomed to never catch her. Blue-eyed werewolves were known for their lightning-fast speed. Moreover, she was a higher-class blue-eyed werewolf who had unlocked her full potential. There was no chance of them catching up to her.
As Evelyn ran through the woods, she felt a sudden pain in her chest. She looked down and saw blood dripping from a wound. She had been shot by a platinum bullet, the only thing that could harm a werewolf. She stumbled and fell, dropping Jake's body. She tried to get up, but the pain was too much. She looked around and saw the vampire elders closing in on her. They had used a sniper rifle to catch her off guard.
She knew she had no chance of escaping. She reached for Jake's hand and held it tightly. She whispered, "I love you, my king. I'm sorry I couldn't save you. Please forgive me."
She closed her eyes and waited for the end. But then, she heard a loud roar. She opened her eyes and saw a huge white wolf and a lady with snow-white hair and a plain gown on top. "Evelyn?" the lady called out.
"Amanda?" Evelyn recognized her as her long-time friend. She felt a wave of relief wash over her.
The white wolf snarled and attacked the vampire elders, tearing them apart with her sharp teeth and claws. It was unstoppable, a force of nature.
Evelyn slowly stood up, staggering. She hugged the white wolf and felt a warm light envelop them. She realized that Amanda was healing them. She thanked her silently and prayed to the moon goddess, hoping that her daughter was safe.
"Your husband is at death's door, but there might be a way to save him," Amanda said as she saw the state Jake was in.
Evelyn hearing this was hopeful. She knew they had a chance to live again. She knew they had a chance to fight again. She knew they had a chance to love again.
