Chapter 3: Tea Party Madness

Uuuggghhh!!! I feel like dying. They have been talking for hours now. I just want to go to Phe.

"Ohh Lady Roseal I heard that you and Lord Tom are no longer together."

She smirked. Like she knows what she was doing.

I sighed. And glared at her.

"Yes, Lady Cleris What you heard is true." I said in a monotone voice.

"Oh my~ I guess it did work out that well with him."

She giggled. And the crowd followed.

I replied.

"I can say the same goes for your unborn child."

The crowd went in silence.

Oh sh*t did I go too far.

I giggled. So it seems to be sarcastic. But Cleris was mad. She glared at me with such murderous intent and took a knife and she was going towards me.

"CLERIS! STOP THIS MADNESS!!"

 Henry said with a shrill voice.

Henry was the fiance of Cleris. Before she cheated on him at the engagement ceremony. And was pregnant but the child didn't make it.

He grabbed her hand. And said to everyone in the room.

"EVERYONE LEAVE NOW! PARTY IS OVER."

I can hear whispers from the ladies. But the cry from Last Cleris was much louder from the other room. I was just joking about her baby. I didn't know it was really true. I just heard from the capital about some rumors.

I sighed.

"I should apologize to her..."

 I mumbled to myself. And added.

"I should just leave."

Many days have passed since that incident. But I still felt guilty. I really crossed the line. She must have cried a lot. Cleris have been through an awful lot. I build the courage to go and apologize.

"What should I do? I really don't know how to do this. Should I knock?"

I knocked, and before I could do it for the second time the door opened it was Henry. He said with an annoyed look

"What are you doing here?"

I replied with a trembling voice.

"Well umm Good day to you Lord Hen-"

He cut me off and said.

"Just say what you are here for don't beat around the bush."

I sighed

"I'm here to apologize to Lady Cleris."

He looked at me with a confused look. But shrugs it off.

"Do what you want but if you make her cry. I'll kill you."

I gulped and nodded.

I saw Lady Cleris I hurriedly went towards her. She was startled by my sudden presence.

"WHAT? YOU AGAIN!!"

She yelled with annoyance in her voice.

"Umm hello I'm here to apologize."

She replied.

"I don't care about your stupid-"

"Hey, Look Lady I walked so much because I don't have a carriage that I own. You better listen to my apology."

I stopped and caught my breath. She was terrified and nodded.

"Lady Cleris I'm sorry for what I have said at the tea party. It must have been hard losing your baby and your fiancé at the same time. You're the toughest Lady I ever met. Even at your lowest time you still tried."

I bowed.

Then I heard a cry. I raised my head; it was Lady Cleris.

"Hick-You shouldn't have~ Apologize. It was supposed to be me. I'm sorry, it was hard for you too. You just divorce your husb**and. While I was making fun of it. Will you ever forgive me? Hick-"

"It's okay I forgive you. And will you ever forgive me?"

She replied.

"Yes Can we be friends now?"

I nodded.
