Engagement

After I returned home, my stepsister opened the door and welcomed me. Her name is Lara. I can see her face is not jolly, so I ask her what's the matter. "Hmm, nothing's like that" she says picking up the trays from basin.

My mom remarried after my dad died from cancer, he had from earlier. My stepfather already had a daughter, and now she's my big sister. Well, telling about her, she is cute, but it's awful that I can't be her bf.

Being her bf would have been fun.

She puts the dish mom cooked into the oven and sits beside me. "Are you going somewhere" she says. Yea, in a friend's engagement party" I replied thinking about taking her with me.

"Ah, that's nice" she says like it's my engagement.

"Do you want to go with me" I asked her hoping she won't say no.

"I see, ok"

I'm amazed that she really agreed,,,, so I told her to wear something good as she's going with me.

"Whatever" she says going to her bedroom to change.

While I am getting ready, I'm thinking about what gift Silvia has brought for them. I finished getting myself ready and going to call Silvia.

It's been thirty minutes she's getting ready. "Are you done yet" I asked at emphasizing.

"Yea, I'm done" she came out wearing a black dress.

"Looking good"

"Thanks". "Let me take out my car"

I am smoking my cigarette while Lara is positioning her car.

"No smoking inside the car"

"Ok" and thrown my cigarette into the

corner.

The previous time I smoked in car, it burned her car's new seat cover.

It took short time to reach the "Queens". I get of the car, and she parks near the parking lot.

While I am waiting for her, a man suited in a blue coat and pant is coming near me like he want to talk to me. He give a letter in a black envelope. In the letter, it is written "come, visit me in room no.240, Fifth Floor. Thank you".

The man told me nothing about it and walk out. Lara poke me in the back and we walk into the hotel.

The ring engagement is of my friend, Daniel. He's getting engaged to her girlfriend, Mary.

I am busy talking with Silvia and her friends. They thought Lara is my girlfriend. It made me feel a little shy to bring her with me.

The party is going well but I have some other

Important job to do. I told Lara to stay there and enjoy the party.

I'm reading the letter while I'm in the elevator. The elevator stopped and I'm on Fifth Floor. I'm standing in front of Room no.

I have never been in any kind of these sudeen meetings, it's a bit new for me. Maybe it's for my good. Let's go in.
