The Family Secret

We went inside the house, and my mom asked me to sit with grandma for a while. I sat beside her and asked her....... What's going on Grandma? She held my hand and said, Wei, you are already 18, and you are old enough to know and understand things. There is something very important for you to know... she paused for a while and said the secret that you need to know about your identity and the family possession which will be passed to you.

You know we are Winters. Wei.......our family is not any ordinary family. A girl from our family possesses a very special power that will rule our race. And that girl is you... Wei.

My mom came from inside with an old red box. She put it in front of me and my grandma opened it, there was a locket and a ring in it with a bottle filled with red liquid. My grandma took the locket and put it on me. Then she gave me the ring and asked me to show it to Ed before we met the elders and that red liquid bottle we needed during the ceremony. Remember we are Winters and we have royal blood and you are very special.

I didn't understand a single thing that my grandma told me, rather I became more confused......I don't know when I fell asleep but one thing is for sure, I was late to go school the next day.........

The next day, I woke up late and Ed was downstairs waiting for me. My mom tried to wake me up but I was in deep sleep. My mom went downstairs(she laughed)and said to Ed ........ This girl is still talking in her sleep. My mom asked Ed to try once to wake me up.

Ed came into my room he knocked...... Wei, it's me, Ed........ I came here to take you to school ... Wei... I'm coming inside..... OK! He came inside and smiled ....... You still the same, My Wei...he lightly smooches my forehead and starts patting, and in a sweet voice he calls my name ..... Wei, I know you are awake....get up and get ready we are going to be late for school ....... I'm going downstairs come soon..... ok..... I'm waiting. He went downstairs and my face turned red inside the blanket.

I got up in a hurry and went directly to the shower, after getting ready I went with Ed to school. This time as soon as we out of the car everyone was staring at me, some girls were whispering, and some were observing me.

Ed held my hand and took my bag from my shoulder. We walked toward our classroom without looking back.

Don't worry as long as I'm with you no one will say anything to you........(That's the problem, Mr. Handsome ) I thought in my mind......... I know why everyone was staring at me ...... it was coz of Ed. No one had seen him with any girl before. This was the first time everyone saw him with a girl not only with a girl ... he was carrying her bag and was holding a hand.
