The final showdown

Almost a week has passed since that incident. Rashi started to skip meals. She doesn't brush her hair, she even acts to be awake at night just like Somor asked her to do.Her mother cried  rivers for her. Jamindar Babu also feels sad for her but couldn't do anything.

"When do you plan to send Rashi to her house

Rashi's mother asked his father at the time of serving tea.

"What do you mean is it not her home?"

"You still need to maintain your arrogance? Just apologize to Somor's father."

"That cheap law servant! I will never apologize to him. I can feed my daughter for her whole life."

"You don't understand after marriage her husband's home is her home. You don't see your daughter's state right."

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Rashi's Mother came to open the door. She was shocked to see Kanti standing there. But she was happy that someone came from their house.

"Oh Kanti, come come all of a sudden in the morning? You should have been informed before."

"No no kaki, I just came to give a marriage invitation.

"Kanti you are getting married. We didn't hear anything?"

"No it is not me it's Dada's marriage. What can we do when our father decides to do this. He waited for one month."

Rashi's Mother burst into tears,

"Hey Maaa aaahh."

servant Hari was coming out of the kitchen and he was so spaced out that he slipped in the floor water. Jamindar Babu's cup dropped on the floor and the cup broke. So many messes happening at the same time.

Kanti knew it was quiet before a storm so he dropped the card and ran towards his cycle. Rashi's Father slowly goes to a room and comes out with a rifle.

"Where is that ashole ? How dare he come in person to invite his brother's wedding."

But Kanti left the place as soon as he felt the air was hot. So Jamindar Babu came inside after finding no one outside .

"I told you something bad will happen for sure. Now handle this situation."

"How dare you lawyer Mukujee. I will kill him today. Don't tell Rashi about anything now. I will break their truth at the time of the wedding.

Here Rashi passes this information to them. When Somor came to pick Rashi was sitting in her bed dressed in the red saree of her wedding and totally dressed like a bride. Somor was a little surprised.

"Rashi why are you dressed like this ? We decided to just switch names in the card right."

"But why, why couldn't you take me in front of my father? Why do we have to keep this hiding. After today we both are gonna start a new life no matter what. So let's get married another time. You take me in front of my father. If you take behind their back then my dad s concept of you having a cheap status."

"But Rashi I don't care about anything wouldn't you be hurt if we do this in front of your father"

"No matter what happened I will stay by your side today. Even if I have to die I can't step back now."

"That won't happen, trust me. We have to fight for what we want."

Here Jamindar Babu was dressing richer today. He was settling his moustache. When he asked Hari to give me the comb . Someone silently handed it to him.

"Where is Rashi? I came to take her back."

" she is in her room why did Mrs tell you to bring her?"

"No, but thank you FATHER IN LAW."

"What's there to thank about?" He asked while facing the mirror. The man behind him was already gone.

One second what?

"Harriii, bring my pistol."

Mr Chatterjee was running towards the stairs but no one knew from where a little amount of oil came on the floor. As expected he slipped and fell on the oily surface.

"Ufff, you rascal I will kill you damn Mukujees."

"Baba!!"

Rashi cried from the balcony. When they were about to flee from there.

"Oh , so there is that fox. Hari brought my rifle and catch  that bastered."

Rashi's Mother came and helped her husband to lift.

"My, God what happened? I beg you please don't fight with them they are our relatives."

"Here is your pistol Babu."

"You, good for nothing why are you so late? And who dropped an oil tank here."

Rashi's Mother was terrified when she changed the gaze at Hari. But Hari winked at her as if he was assuring her. When Jamindar babu reached they had already fled with a motor car. He targeted Somor and pressed the trigger but no bullets were released from the rifle.

"Hari you goat. Who asked you to give me an empty rifle. Uhhhh."
