The same hollow feeling. The one that drowns me deeper into oblivion.
As I stand on the top and see the family of five conversing. They look perfect. Just like that as always.
I always wanted to fit in. Forcefully creating a place for myself between them only to realize I will never belong in a long run. They never wanted me to.
Susan Parker [FL Half-siter]
Rissa!
My icy gaze fell on her face. The person who will always be loved by everyone she meets. The sunshine of the family. My father's heart and the love of the life of my husband.
I used to be jealous of her. She had everything I had ever dreamt of, everyone I have ever craved for.
Her sweet smile contrast my heartless curves of lips. Her lively eyes stare into my devoid ones, trying to reflect her light into me but little does she know, a dead soul will never leave darkness.
Michael Parker [FL Father]
*stern and gruff voice* You're late, Clarissa. Your brother was here 30 minutes ago.
Susan Parker [FL Half-siter]
Ughh! Not now, dad! *whine, keep holding Clarissa's hand*
Dad's voice broke my trance. He looks stern and cold towards me. He always did yet when his gaze fell on Susan, I saw his eyes soften.
I never got that. Not even half of it. Never his praises that Susan got when she showed her first drawing. His advises when Aron was planning to give up on his first exam. His words of wisdom when Adrian wanted to follow his footsteps in business.
At first, I thought it was because I always brought success no matter what I did. Deep down his heart was filled in pride for his daughter who wins without his guidance. Little did I know that heart never had me, not even a glimpse of me.
Zara Parker [FL Stepmother]
Honey! *say sternly, looking at Michael*
Zara Parker. My stepmother. The who did loved me a little when I was still living here. She did not shower me love and care but she did fulfill the role of a mother as much as she could.
But in the end of the day, I was not her daughter by blood. If it came down to me and Susan, I did not blame her when she chose her daughter's side.
