Confusion and Heartache

Chapter 5:

Bakugou struggles with his emotions and begins to distance himself from Deku, leading to heartache and confusion for both of them.

As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, Bakugou began to distance himself from Deku. He was torn between his fear of losing the friendship they had cherished for so long and the desire to explore their romantic feelings.

He was struggling but he doesn't know what to to about this situation, and he doesn't know what Deku feel, if he is ok or not.

One evening, as they sat in their favorite spot under the oak tree, Deku couldn't hold back his feelings any longer. "Bakugou, you've been acting distant lately. Is there something you're not telling me?"

Bakugou looked away, his voice hesitant. "Deku, I'm just...confused. I don't know what I want, and it's making me crazy. I don't want to mess up what we have, but I also don't want to live in this uncertainty."

Deku's heart ached as he listened to Bakugou's words. "I feel the same way, Bakugou. But we can't keep pretending that everything's okay when it's not. We need to figure this out."

The conversation left them both feeling vulnerable and conflicted. Bakugou's internal turmoil led him to avoid Deku even more, making it difficult for them to communicate. They found themselves trapped in a painful silence, their friendship and unspoken love hanging in the balance.

Deku, feeling isolated and heartbroken, turned to Kirishima for guidance. Kirishima, who had become a close friend to both of them, listened attentively to Deku's woes.

"Love can be complicated, Deku," Kirishima said with empathy. "But it's also something worth fighting for. If you truly care for Bakugou, you should find a way to communicate your feelings. Maybe he's just as scared as you are."

Encouraged by Kirishima's advice, Deku decided it was time to take action. He confronted Bakugou once more, determined to break through the walls that had been erected between them.

"Bakugou," Deku began, "I love you, and I can't keep pretending that I don't. I can't lose you, but I also can't go on like this."

Bakugou looked at Deku with a mixture of surprise and relief. "Deku, I love you too, and I'm terrified of losing you. But I don't want to lose what we could have together either. I just... I don't know what to do."

The honesty between them was a turning point. With their feelings laid bare, they were no longer drowning in uncertainty. Instead, they found themselves standing on the precipice of a decision that would change the course of their friendship forever.

The next chapter would be the most challenging yet, as Bakugou and Deku confronted their unspoken desires head-on, ready to face the consequences, whatever they may be.
