BTS V Layover: BTS V, also known as Kim Tae hyung, released his debut solo album ‘Layover’ on September 8, 2023, with six songs including ‘Rainy Days’, ‘Blue’, ‘Love Me Again’, ‘Slow Dancing’, ‘For Us’, and a piano version of ‘Slow Dancing’.

Additionally, the album has outperformed both in the charts and sales. It sold over 1.67 million copies on its opening day, setting a new record for the highest first-day sales by any solo K-pop artist in history, breaking the record set by Jimin previously with FACE. Currently, it is the bestselling solo album in South Korean history.

V topped the monthly world chart in September with a world index of 15,793.62 points, showing his true value as a 'Wolkeul' idol. The World Chart is a comprehensive chart within Hanteo Chart announced based on global data of K-pop artists, including albums, music sources, certifications, SNS, and media. V's 'Layover' album recorded high scores in the album and media categories. As the first Korean solo singer to achieve initial sales of more than 2.1 million copies, V recorded a high score in the album category. Following V, Ive and Blackpink ranked 2nd and 3rd on the monthly world chart.

V also ranked first on the monthly album chart in September. V, who topped the monthly album chart with an album index of 2,507,002.80 points (sales of 2,141,557 copies), broke a new record for first-week sales for a Korean solo singer and took the top spot on the monthly chart. Next, Rise took second place with an album index of 1,041,771.00 points (sales of 1,041,771 copies), and Boy Next Door took third place with an album index of 566,764.06 points (sales of 489,044 copies).
