Chapter 2

"Let's go."

I smiled. It's almost 6 pm and we decided to take a walk. It's been so long from the last time I took a walk here.

"Big sis, I can finally make friends with others, right?"

"Yes, sis. You can make lots of friends now. You can also study to some universities if you want."

"I am excited big sis."

I looked at her. She's smiling but her eyes are teary.

"Don't cry. I will protect you."

We are now passing by the tight checkpoint near the crime scene. They haven't yet found the killer.

I simply gaze at the whole place. They are all soldiers with weapons. If I am not mistaken, shoot to kill is an order if they find someone suspicious.

And they are suspicious of me and my sister.

"Big sis, let's go back. I'm scared."

I hold her hand so tight. I look at her and smiled.

"I will protect you."

She just nodded and nervously walks by my side. We passed the check point but then all the poeple in our front suddenly hide theirselves. I immediately hide my sister in my arms when I heard gunshots.

I can feel it, bullets fiercing in my back.

"Big sis."

We are now sitting in the middle of the road. The gunshot is continuously firing.

My sister is looking at me, crying.

"Are you alright?"

I asked her. I checked her body if she got shot. I sigh in relief when I see nothing even a scratch. I smiled at her.

"Here. Hold this. I made this device, it is a bulletproof shield. Go back to our house. Do you understand me? Go back and don't leave the house. I'll be back."

"Big sis, you're shot. M\-multiple times. What are you going to do?"

I smiled at her. We are now inside a shield. I activated it after I got shot.

"My body can endure this for some time. But you're not. You're now a human sis."

My sister cried. I can feel blood running down my head and mouth. I smiled at her and hug her.

"Go, I will stop them from going after you. Everything will be fine after this. I promise."

"But... "

"No buts... I'm gonna take it from here. Live the happiest life with our family for me, sis. I trust you."

I stood up after giving her a kiss on her forehead. Another shot fierce my flesh. I am bleeding all over my body.

I faced those men pointing their guns at me. They stopped firing their guns. I smiled at them.

"I would not hurt you the way you hurt me and my sister. Killing a person without further investigation. Doesn't it be considered as a crime too?"

"But you're not human. You and your sister, or even your family."

I laughed.

"Yeah, I am not a human. But my family is. Tsk. Why do I have to explain to you? You're all just a dog following orders of mindless higher ups."

"How dare a monster like you insulted the officials."

I received a shot again in my chest. I sigh. There are lots of blood below me. I will die anyway. I look at them. Focused my mind and connect to their minds. I then erased their memories of this commotion.

They all black out after it. I covered my mouth with my hand to stop blood from rushing out.

I gasp for breath.

"Hah, it really does suck up my energy."

I looked at the place. All people here in the scene black out. They will lose their memories of this crime. I need to erase the case and alter the memories of everyone who knew the crime that happened here. And clean the name of my family.

I stood up and do all the things that I must do. It takes a lot of time to do everything.

I am now walking towards our house. Forcing my body to endure the pain fotr some time more. I knocked on the door. It immediately opened.

"Oh my god."

My mom gasp and dad immediately assist me to enter the house.

"D\-don't close your eyes sweetheart, we will do everything to heal you."

I smiled and stop them.

"I am fine mom, dad."

I looked at my family. My mom, dad, lil' brother and sis. A tear fell from my eyes.

"Everything is fine now. I altered and cleaned everything. I successfully made it. Mom, dad. I did it, right? You can now live with freedom."

They are crying.

"Ssshhh... Don't cry, you did it. You did very well. Rest for now. I will take all the bullets out in your body."

I shook my head. They just look at me, tears flowing from their eyes.
