Chapter 4

Eren's POV

~

I stayed in the classroom during lunch because I didn't feel like eating...

AND because I kept thinking about what Keigo did this morning at two. I want to ask him about it when I get home, but I'm afriad he'd do something to me...

"Eren?"

I blinked and placed both my hands on the desk. I looked up and met with gray and turquoise eyes.

"What is it, Shouto?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Don't worry about that," I shook my head, "was there something you needed?"

"Oh, yeah..."

He pulled up a chair from a random desk and sat down down on the right side of my desk.

"Could I have lunch with you? Even though you aren't eating..."

I blinked twice and sighed through my nose, "yeah, sure. I'm not really doing anything."

"Do you want some of my Soba? It's cold but I love it that way..."

"Uh... sure. I feel a little hungry. And don't worry, I love it cold and hot."

I could see a small smile on the corner of his lips and I smiled to myself.... internally, of course.

He grabbed an empty container and poured some Soba into it, grabbing chopsticks from his lunch box and handing it to me.

"Do you use chopsticks?"

"Yeah," I nodded and grabbed them, "use 'em sometimes."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I use them when I cook something that needs chopsticks. But he doesn't use them."

"He?"

Okay, I got to stop mentioning Keigo.

"He lives with me..."

"Could I perhaps get a name?"

"It's Keigo Takami..."

"Keigo Takami," Shouto cocked his head to the side a little, "is he your Dad or..?

"No," I shook my head at him, "he 'takes care' of me. It's more like I take care of him."

"Oh."

"Just to make it shorter, he's Hawks."

Shouto dropped his chopsticks and his eyes widened a bit. I looked at him for a bit before going back to my Soba.

"Hawks? As in the Number 2 Hero?"

I nodded at Shoutos' questioned and slurped on my Soba for a bit before putting the container down and asking, "yeah. We met when I was ten."

"Oh... so... what about your parents?"

"They died in a fire when I was fourteen," I put my chopsticks down and closed the lid on the container, "I ran away and became a Villain. Then I ran away from the League and stayed with Keigo."

"So you call him Keigo? And what is the League?"

I was about to continue when Katsuki and Izuku came in the room yelling at each other.

"I don't want to fight with you, Kacchan!"

"*****!!"

"Hey!!"

"What are you two arguing about now?"

Izuku and Katsuki turned to Shouto and started talking at once.

"Maybe I should tell you some other time."

"Oh," he pulled out his phone and went through something before handing it to me, "maybe I can have your number? We can talk whenever you have the chance..."

"I guess th-"

"Ha!! Todoroki's gay?!"

Shouto shook his head and gave me a shrug. I typed in my number and gave him his phone back.

"Are you awake late at night?"

"Depends," he stuffed his phone in his pocket, "I sometimes get up in the middle of the night to eat. Other times are that I can't or don't want to sleep."

"Hm..."

I hummed at his response and handed him his container and chopsticks. Izuku walked up to with Katsuki behind us.

"How's U.A. so far, Eren?"

"Eh," I shrugged, "it's alright. Those Pro Heroes will probably make me do double the work and training."

"That's cool how you do more training than us! You'll be stronger than ever!!"

Katsuki scoffed at how happy Izuku was and Shouto listened.

"Yeah, I guess..."

"Could you tell us who the League is?"

"League? What League??"

"The League of Villains. They're basically Villains who attack and do bad shit. The main members are All For One, Tomura Shigaraki, Dabi, Himiko Toga, Twice, Spinner, and Mr. Compress. And they're probably after me, dunno."

"Huh??? But you're stronger than them, right?!" Izuku had determination in his eyes and Eren nodded and said 'no'.

"I'm stronger than them all, but All For One is stronger. He's now the Number 1 Villain."

"So he was Number 2?"

I nodded at Shouto and Katsukis' question and turned back to Izuku.

"I'll need to train extra hard to beat them all."

"You do it," he gave me a thumbs up and smiled, "because we'll be right by your side!"

Broccoli: you guys free this weknd?

Explosion_Murderer: I am but we better not do anything baby-ish

IcyHot: maybe the movies??

DeadInside: movie snds gud

Explosion_Murderer: a good movie

IcyHot: we'll just have to see wut they have for us

DeadInside: maybe we can hang out at the mall bfore going to the mvies

Broccoli: awzum! great plan, we'll do that!!

IcyHot: u guys rdy for the practice training we'll be doing Friday?

Explosion_Murderer: hell ya!!

Broccoli: cant wait!!

DeadInside: guess it sounds fun .-. u all need to sleep now

Broccoli: wbu?

DeadInside: dont worry bout me

Explosion_Murderer: dude u need SLEEP u look DEAD

DeadInside: thats y i chose this name lol

Broccoli: pls get some sleep!!!

DeadInside: ill try

IcyHot: gud enough for meh

DeadInside: gn

IcyHot: gn...

Explosion_Murderer: GN

Broccoli: gn!!

I put my phone facedown on my bed and sighed.

Keigo's out again... so what can I do..?

I looked up from my sheets and stood up, leaving my room and walking to the kitchen.

Maybe I can... no...

I looked into the fridge but closed it.

Ugh... I can't do shit..!

I looked down at my hands and thought the League. They're probably finding a way to get me back or something.

"The cycle repeated.... as explosions broke in the sky... all that I needed... was the one thing I couldn't find. And you were there at the turn, waiting to let me know...."

"We're building it up, to break it back down... We're building it up, to burn it down. We can't wait, to burn it to the ground..."

"The colors conflicted.... as the flames climbed into the clouds... I wanted to fix this... but couldn't stop from tearing it down."

"And you were there at the turn, caught in the burning glow... and I was there at the turn, waiting to let you know..."

"We're building it up... to break it back down... we're building it up... to burn it down. We can't wait, to burn it to the ground."

"You told me yes, you held me high, and I believed when you told that lie. I play soldier, you play king. Struck me down when I kissed that ring. You lost that right, to hold that crown. I built you up but you let me down. So when you fall, I take my turn. And fan the flames as your blazes burn."

I whipped my head towards the door and found-

"Keigo!"

I jumped up from the couch and collapsed in his arms and started sobbing my eyes out.
