Part 8

Lila opened the door with shaking hands and saw Jake standing outside, his face lit up by the flickering light of

his candle. He looked calm and composed, like he was

just a friend dropping by for a visit. But Lila knew better.

She saw the hunger in his eyes, the lust for her that had

driven him to madness

"I just wanted to talk," he said, his voice deep and

soothing

"Leave me alone!" Lila cried, her voice shaking with fear.

You've been stalking me, watching me, hacking into my

life. I won't let you hurt me!"

Jake took a step forward, but Lila held out the lamp in

front of her, determined to defend herself.

'| love you," Jake said, his voice taking on a sinister tone

'And i'Il do whatever it takes to make you mine

With a burst of energy, he rushed towards her, but Lila

was ready. With a swing of the lamp, she hit him in the

head, knocking him to the ground. She stood over him,

breathing heavily, as he groaned in pain

'Get out of here," she said, her heart still racing. "And

never come back."

Jake looked up at her, his face a mask of rage. He said

nothing, but his eyes burned with hate as he stumbled to

his feet and fled into the night. Lila watched him go, her

eyes wide with fear, not sure if he would ever return. But

she knew she had to be ready, just in case.

Lila watched as he fled, her heart pounding in her chest.

She couldn't believe that Jake, a boy she had barely

noticed in her math class, had turned out to be her stalker. She couldn't believe that he had been watching

her every move, hacking into her phone and computer,

sending her notes and presents, and now breaking into

her aunt's house to get to her. She felt disgust and anger

and fear and all sorts of emotions churning inside her.

She quickly locked the door and sat down on the floor

trying to catch her breath. She was shaking all over, and

she felt like she might throw up. She didn't understand

why Jake had become so obsessed with her, and she

didn't know what she had done to make him think that

his behavior was okay

She pulled out her phone and dialed 9-1-1, reporting the

break-in and giving the police a description of Jake's

appearance. She didn't know if they would be able to

find him, but she had to try. She was determined not to

let him get away with what he had done, and she was

determined to protect herself and her family

Lila sat there on the floor, waiting for the police to

arrive. She felt like she was in a haze, like this was all

a nightmare that she was going to wake up from any

moment now. She didn't know how she was going to

get through the rest of her life, now that she knew that

someone was stalking her and had broken into her

home. She felt like she was never going to feel safe

again.

She closed her eyes and tried to calm herself down, to

steady her breathing. She had to be strong, she had to

be brave, and she had to do whatever it took to keep

nerself and her family safe. She just hoped that the

police would be able to catch Jake and put an end to all

this madness.
