Lian couldn't believe what she had just heard.
"Treason? That's framing!" She said.
Raising her tone didn't help to dial the situation but instead the Feilong got aggravated and started to release their swords.
"Stop threatening us or we'll kill you. We had permission from the general." Some Feilong were smirking at the back.
"You dare?" Lian's eyes were filled with rage.
"Wait till father hears about this." She tried to pass through the Feilong.
"That won't be necessary." said someone in the crowd.
Suddenly, a man walks out of the Feilong group.
"Tanxia." Lian's eyes widened as she saw him.
Tanxia is a title given for the king's right hand. The Tanxia wears a Buzi. Which features a square insignia and a robe.
The Tanxia raises his sword implying that he won't let Lian move any further.
"I'm the princess! How will I betray the kingdom of my own father?" She yelled.
However, the Feilong and Tanxia weren't buying any of this.
Instead, the Tanxia launched an attack directly at Lian's throat.
Lian quickly blocked this and blasted the Tanxia away.
Feilong started rushing towards Lian as she made the run for it.
Lian climbs on the wall as the Feilong continues the chase.
They passed through many vendors in the street.
Lian flawlessly avoids bumping into any crowd or obstacle while some Feilong struggles to keep up.
The Tanxia climbs in one of the houses and traverses to cut some distance.
Using the travel roof by roof is faster than running through the busy street.
"Don't let her get away!" The Tanxia said as the Feilong doubled their pace.
Lian noticed that the Feilong are starting to close the distance.
As she scanned throughout the market, she saw some things she could use.
First, she grabbed one of the boxes of fruits and threw it at the back.
It might've slowed her down because of the sudden stop, but this also caused the Feilong to split to avoid the box.
Lian continues to run once again and tries to think of another trick to slow the Feilong down.
She can't draw her sword because she doesn't want the people to get involved nor get hurt.
As she ran she couldn't help but to tear just a bit.
Thinking that even her father couldn't help her as she ran for her life.
Once she's finally out of the market.
She quickly drew her sword.
But as she drew it out, The Tanxia was already in the air in motion to strike.
The image of the Tanxia blocks the sun as he goes down towards Lian.
The sword of the Tanxia was aimed directly at Lian.
She couldn't escape this one, so in order to at least reduce the damage taken.
She holds the handle and blocks it upward.
As the two sword contacts, Lian is starting to sink slightly on the ground.
The impact causes shockwaves strong enough to do some cracks.
Lian is starting to bleed on her nose because of the impact absorption.
But in her mind, surrendering is the unlikeliest thing to do in this situation.
The Feilong used this to form into a group and cast a spell.
The spell was wearing which made Lian's sword to break and the Tanxia penetrated through the land.
The ground immediately explodes as soon as Tanxia's sword makes contact with it.
This blasted Lian far away.
She landed on the ground, rolling.
As she tried to open her eyes, her vision blurred out.
She could only helplessly listen as the footsteps got louder and louder.
"Lian, you poor thing." The Tanxia looked down on the battered Lian.
The Tanxia then grabs Lian's hair and raises her hair.
"I waited for this day for so long. After we're done with you. We're going to get your father." He said while putting the blade close to Lian's neck.
Lian couldn't see anything as her tears were covering the scene.
Her nose was bleeding out as well and all she could hear was the Tanxia and Feilong laughing at her pathetic state.
"One of the strongest in Murim? What a joke." One of the feilong said.
"If that's the power you require to be one of them. Then I'm qualified already!" Another one added.
Lian closed her eyes and accepted her faith.
But as she closed her eyes, one thought had crossed her mind.
One word, one person.
Wei.
As she closed her mind fully to stop seeing the harsh world.
A scream in pain was heard.
"Who's this guy? Stop him!" One of the Feilong said.
Lian opened her eyes.
She saw that the Tanxia was looking somewhere.
But who was it?
"Stop him at all costs!" Said the Feilong's desperate cries.
The scream of death goes from one to many.
"Oh. You killed them all." The Tanxia said while dropping Lian's face on the ground.
A loud thud can be heard because of that.
In front was no other than Wei.
Wei's eyes were filled with rage, yet his face was the calmest.
His emotions weren't showing at all.
It was a silent rage.
His face was covered with the blood of the Feilong.
In fact, some of those were still dripping on his bloodied face.
"Beg." When the Tanxia heard it from Wei, he couldn't help but to laugh.
"Beg? Who are you? Just because you defeat the Feilong doesn't mean you're strong." The Tanxia spread his arms while laughing.
"Beg." Wei repeated his words.
However, Tanxia's face only changes into annoyance.
"Beg." This time, Wei's words have force in it.
The Tanxia ignored it and walked towards Wei.
With full confidence, he continues to stay spread his arms in the air.
Showing that Wei's threats are just baseless ones.
Wei didn't talk this time.
"What now? You're all talk." Said the Tanxia but before he even knew.
His left hand was already missing.
He quickly realizes this and groveled in pain.
Screaming with the top of his lungs.
"My hand! My hand!" He cried as he held onto his torso.
The Tanxia finally realizes who his been messing with.
The peasant clothing of Wei banishes and transforms into a mystical look.
The eyes in Wei lit up while looking at the Tanxia.
"A celestial? But you guys weren't real!" The Tanxia couldn't believe what he was seeing, immediately forgetting his pain.
"You're doing this all for a mere human? How biased can you be!" He exclaimed.
But those were his last words as his tongue disappeared mysteriously.
His cries were silent in a literal sense.
All he could do was for the tears to fall down like what he did to Lian.
Wei passed him and went to pick up Lian.
Wei looked at the Tanxia one more time before disappearing in thin air with Lian.
The Tanxia looked at his arms while crying and saw his tongue laying on his very own arms.
This was enough to knock him out.
Hopefully, the eyes never opened, ever again.
