Chapter 2: New School

A few days have passed since the last announcement of the sudden school transfer and here they are, waking up early in the morning and packing up most of their essentials that are needed in school.

Vampires don't usually wake up in the morning since they don't like contact with the sun. Vampires' skin are easily burned by a mere sunlight but it won't kill them, it'll only burn your skin as if you're being cooked.

But since the twins were born of royal blood, they won't be affected much by the sunlight so they can walk under the sun with ease.

And also, they have been given pills from their mother's witch friend that will allow them to smell like humans so no werewolf will be on edge when they see them.

The school that they will be entering is welcomed by all, well..as long as you have the qualifications to enter that prestigious school, that is. And what's more, Grimoire Academy is owned by a couple, a human and werewolf couple to be exact.

And since the two who owns that school had came from different species, they welcome any species in their school with excellent qualifications, whether they are born from rich families or people with gifted talents and brilliant intellect.

Ayame is now in her room while putting her things in her purple bag. And Akito is in his own room doing the same thing.

While putting her supplies in her bag, a knock was heard, and Ayame turned her head towards the door.

"Come in.."

Ayame stated shortly, she already knew who is on the other side of the door so she doesn't need to bother herself to wonder who.

She directed back her attention on what she was doing before and a creaking sound was heard when someone opened the wooden door.

A man that looked to be in his forties stood near the door. He then bowed respectively and greeted her.

"Hello young miss, I am here to tell you that the car that will be bringing you to your new school has already been prepared."

The butler said formally. He was waiting for the young miss to reply so that he could take his leave.

"I see..thank you for informing me. You may go now, butler Charles."

Ayame replied with a blank face. Butler Charles bowed his head and exited. He closed the door behind him.

As butler Charles closed the wooden door, he sighed. He is sad to see the young miss is not in her old self anymore. Her old self that was sweet, caring and gentle to others has vanished without a trace.

She was only cold to others that wasn't really close to her like her family but now..she no longer treats her family warmly and sweetly like before.

The young miss that he is seeing now is her "new self". The complete opposite of what she was before; a calm and collected yet sweet child is now in the past.

And the main cause for all of this is because of that fateful "incident".

Butler Charles sighed again. As much as he wanted to help, he couldn't do anything.

And with that thought, butler Charles left, feeling devastated.

Ayame had already finished everything that she needs to do and she is now walking through the same medieval styled hallway, heading towards outside.

She is now wearing the Grimoire Academy's uniform. A white shirt under a royal blue long-sleeved coat, a red-stringed ribbon tied on the white shirt, the academy's crest engraved on a small pocket on her right chest of her coat, and she also has an annoyingly short red skirt. Her hair is also tied into a neat ponytail.

Even though she despises the very short skirt, she doesn't really have a choice. It was the school rules so she must follow it so she can avoid any troubling conflict and unwanted attention.

As she exited the huge palace, she saw a car parked in the driveway and she noticed that Akito is already there, sitting next to the driver while playing on his phone. She walked towards it and she opened the door of the vehicle and shut it close when she came in sat on the car's passenger seat.

"About time. You were taking so long, Aya."

Akito said while yawning. He was still on his phone but stopped and looked at his sister.

"Where's mom and dad? Didn't they say that they will come and say goodbye to us since they insisted?"

Akito asked his twin sister but only received a shrug from her, implying she doesn't known.

Speaking of parents, as if on timing, they saw them walking towards the car. They immediately got out of the vehicle, leaving the driver in the car behind who was quietly sitting on the drivers' seat.

A few minutes..

The twins came back and went in the car after they bid their goodbyes. They felt they were going abroad because of their parents' silly behavior, even though they will be arriving home after school. It's not like they're going somewhere far away but their parents were a bit dramatic sometimes.

As they sat at their seats, they engrossed themselves on their phones. Akito playing video games early in the morning and Ayame listening to music with her headphones while looking at the scenery of the woods in the glass window.

As they've finally arrived at the famous Grimoire Academy, the car they were riding stopped in front of the gates of the school.

The huge gates suddenly opened and the car went inside the school campus.

As the car came to a stop, the twins got off from the vehicle.

Many gasps were heard since they were people around.

Most of the people were amazed and fascinated by the beauty of the two. Despite being so-called humans, they both look like a god and a goddess. Especially their jewel-like eyes, orbs that can be compared to precious gems.

When the twins got out from the car, it immediately left.

The twins walked towards the school building, ignoring the curious stares that the people were giving.

As they went inside the building, they walked through a hallway full of students. The two can smell werewolves and some humans around but there were no vampires. It seems that they hid their existence very perfectly.

Unlike the palace they were living in, the interior of the building of the school is different from their home since the building was a modern build while theirs is an old european-styled structure.

As the same as before, many gasps were also heard in the hallway. All of the students that were walking around in the hallway halted their steps and stopped with whatever they were doing.

All of them stared at the two with curiosity and fascination but the twins continued to ignore them.

Both of them proceeded in walking with powerful strides as they also held their heads up high with confidence.

The two siblings already got used to attention since they also experienced the same thing with their old school.

Ayame walked through the hallway with her usual poker face while Akito gave everyone a wink and a smile to some students, especially to the girls.

They continued to walk with confidence, still ignoring the whispers and the curious stares of the student that were passing by and proceeded with their walking as if it were just some normal day.

But unfortunately for them, especially Ayame, the moment they stepped inside the campus, they didn't know that the game that fate planned to play specially for them has already begun.
