I pick up the broken pieces of the coffee mug that had just fallen to the floor from abuelita’s hand. A brown puddle of coffee now stains the once perfect cleaned floor. I tried to gather all the pieces carefully so I don’t hurt myself.

Oh, Mijo… You don’t have to clean this up. Im really sorry I don’t what happened.. one second it was in my hand and the next one ….
Miles
I don’t mind cleaning it, you already do too much. I got this.
Miles said to her grandmother as he begins to throw all the pieces into a trashcan in the kitchen. He thinks to himself how his grandmother is getting weaker day by day.
She seems much more thinner, seems to have lost her appetite. Doesn’t really go out of the house much, not as much as she used to.. And how that coffee mug just dropped outta her hands like she she had no power in her hand.

Miles says as her grandma walked outside the kitchen and into her room.
After cleaning up he was just about to turn off the lights and leave when he heard the sound of a big vehicle pull up.
He walked over to kitchen window to peek outside and saw a big movers truck parked out front.
Miles
Someone’s moving in the house next door. Interesting!
Miles
Miles texted his best friend or the only friend should we say.

No shit! Did you happen to see who they are ?

Do they have any kids?
Miles
Not really. I only see a truck and a bunch of movers unloading the furniture so far..

Are you free? Im craving cheeseburgers… wanna meet at the grill?
