please don't get offended, I mean no hate I just wanted to give my advice as a fellow author
the plot of your story is great but I think you have some work to do on your story telling and the dialogues.
SOME TIPS:
1, Have a little summary on your characters personality and when you are writing, have the characters act accordingly. Ask yourself how would [character name] react in this situation, let your characters write themselves.
2, When you are writing a scene, imagine yourself physically being in that scene. This would help you to describe the situations or what's going in the scene, in a more vivid way.
3, Don't just tell everything, show it. for e.g. don't say, "[character name] is feeling very angry" instead have them show the symptoms of that feeling like if they are angry- throwing things around, gritting their teeth, clenching fists. Ask yourself what would you do if you were in their place, that would help a lot.
"Writing is a skill the more you do the more you improve. So, please don't get discouraged by any of my words and keep improving"
👆🏻these were the words I wish I could tell myself years ago when I was about to quit but I couldn't so I am telling them to you. Keep going 🤗
