HOW IT ALL STARTED

(Alicia's POV)

I am Alicia by name, blonde, average height, 21-year-old girl? No lady.

I have a boyfriend. His name is Will. I met him at a party and we've been talking since then, before it led to a relationship.

(buzz buzz, the sound of the alarm 6 am)

Ugh. I stretched my hands towards the alarm and turned it off. I rolled over and over again on the bed, wiped my eyes and got up. I have an interview in the biggest company in this country. Okay so I know you all would be shocked but damn it, I'm surprised myself.

I got into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, took my bath and wrapped a towel around me. I got out of the bathroom, did the necessary stuff and here comes the everyday routine, "what am I supposed to wear".

It looks like I am not serious right? I am supposed to have done this yesterday but I was out on a date with Will. Gosh, it was so romantic, I forgot I had an interview early this morning. Corporate or Casual?

So silly of you Alicia, you are supposed to dress corporate. I picked a royal blue shirt tucked into a black trouser, black shoes and a jacket. I think this is corporate enough. I'm not a fan of makeup but I wore a light makeup , light pink lip gloss and a little powder did the job.

I went to the kitchen prepared sandwich with coffee and had it quickly. I'm so late.

On getting to the company, I stood right in front, looked at the entrance, breathed in and then out then went inside. On getting into the company, I see people working, gisting and things people do at work.

After looking around, I went to the receptionist, told her I had an interview and she said "you are late, but you are lucky the boss isn't here yet". I breathed out in relief and I mouthed a "thank you" to the receptionist after she wished me the very best.

I sat down and waited for a while not more than 3 minutes though and here comes a handsome, tall, probably in his late twenties man. He's everything a girl would wish for. Staring at the man made me unaware of things in my surroundings. Everywhere became quiet and everyone stood up to acknowledge his presence. After snapping out of my dream I looked around and hurriedly stood up.

The handsome man stared at me and walked away. Jeez, I feel butterflies. I asked the receptionist if l could go in. She made a call and asked me to go to the last floor.

The building is huge and all I could do was stare at the interior. This may be the last time I would come in here so let me feed my eyes I thought to myself. On getting to the last floor I knocked on the door and a deep toned voice asked me to come in. I opened the door and damn it was the handsome guy from earlier. I kept staring at him then he cleared his throat.

"Goo ... good ..mo ..rr..morning sir" I stammered.

He hit his table with his hand as if waking me up from a nap. I stood upright and he asked me questions and in one blink everything was over.

I went back to the receptionist and she said I would be sent an email. I went out of the place and headed home. Once I got home I took off my shoes, dropped my bag, took the remote, lied on the couch and started watching movies.

I thought of the handsome man I saw. I'm I really supposed to do that when I have a boyfriend.

(message slides in. It is from Will)

Will: Hey babe, how was the interview

(Alicia snaps out of her thought and checks her phone, she sees it's from Will and replies)

Alicia: It was fine. I just got back home, wanna rest, we would talk later

Will: okay

(conversation ends)

Well, I lied. Just not in the mood to talk to Will right now?
