"Congratulations on your wedding!" Amber exclaimed, embracing Aozora.
"Yes, Aunt!" Aozora replied, still unable to believe that she was now a wife.
"Why are you still calling me Aunt? Call me mom, because you're now my daughter-in-law. And one more thing, you don't need to hesitate with me. If you need anything, just say it!"
Aozora didn't respond at all. However, the woman nodded in agreement.
"Well then, since you're now officially my son's wife, that means this room is also yours. Take a rest, I'll leave!" Amber concluded, getting up and leaving.
After Amber had truly left, Aozora turned back to Arsenio. She approached and sat on the edge of the bed, very close to Arsen's body.
"Hi, Arsen! I know that you're still not awake from your coma, but I read somewhere that even when a person is in a coma, their ears can still function to hear. Hopefully, you can hear what I'm saying too," Aozora started to talk, while Arsenio remained faithful in keeping his eyes closed.
"Let me introduce myself, I'm Aozora. The girl who was sold by her own father to pay off your family's debts. I've already been sold, and your future husband cheated with my own sister, sad right? But don't worry, I'm strong," Aozora spoke with a bitter smile.
"Oh yeah, we just officially became husband and wife. Are you surprised? I am too. When you wake up from your coma, you might be surprised to already have a wife, and you might accuse me of only marrying you because of your wealth. Because it's impossible for a woman to marry a comatose and paralyzed man like you, right? But if you think it's because I love you, that's not it either. Because it's impossible to love someone you don't know," Aozora continued, ending with a heavy sigh.
"But, don't worry. I want to marry you not because of your money. But like I said earlier, I was sold because my father had a lot of debt. Besides, I had no choice. If I didn't want to get married, my late mother's company would go bankrupt and I didn't want that to happen. Even though my stepmother has now transferred the company to my sister's name. But I intend to take it back my own way. I'm sure I can, because I'll never accept my mother dying from stress due to being cheated on, and now they've taken over her company too. I don't want to make my mother sad in the afterlife. Will you help me?" Aozora appeared like a foolish person engaging in a conversation with someone who was guaranteed not to respond to anything she just said.
Aozora fell silent once again, staring intently at Arsenio's handsome face. From somewhere, a whisper came, and Aozora's hand suddenly reached out to touch Arsenio's face, starting from his cheek, then moving to his nose. Suddenly, Aozora was startled, as she felt that the man lying there had moved his head, as if surprised when someone touched his cheek.
"Oh, what did I just feel? His head really moved, right?" Aozora murmured, still audible.
To confirm, Aozora touched her husband's cheek once again. But this time, there was no movement whatsoever from the man who still had his eyes closed.
"Hmm, maybe it was just my imagination? The proof is, he's not reacting anymore," Aozora whispered.
"Arsen, can I call you Arsen? Or should there be a title? Ah, since you're not awake yet, I'll just call you Arsen. When you wake up, you'll probably command me to call you Sir, Arsenio, right?" Aozora chuckled softly.
"Oh, well, I just wanted to say that even though I suddenly became your wife and haven't even fallen in love with you yet, I will try to be a good wife. Please wake up soon, your poor mother!" Aozora once again tried to talk to Arsenio, even though she knew that there would be no response from the man who had become her husband.
For quite a while, Aozora engaged in conversation with the comatose Arsenio. But it was more like Aozora speaking one-sidedly, without any response from her listener. It seemed that she took advantage of Arsenio's comatose state to pour out all of her grievances, which she had been keeping inside to alleviate the tightness in her heart. In the past, the only person she would confide in was Dimas, her former fiance. However, that was now impossible, considering that he was with her sister.
"Sorry, I've been rambling! You must be bored listening to my stories, which are not at all exciting. But since you're still asleep, I'll indulge myself in telling them, because when you wake up, you might not want to listen to me. Right? Definitely, you will," Aozora asked herself and answered herself.
"Oh, I've already voiced all my frustrations, and now I feel a little relieved, even though you didn't respond at all. But that's okay, because even if you wake up, you might not want to respond, right? Now, I'm tired and want to rest, but before that, I want to take a shower to make my rest more comfortable. Can I borrow your bathroom?" Aozora fell silent, as if waiting for an answer from her husband.
"You're silent, so I'll assume you're okay with it, alright? That's why, wake up, so you can stop me. As long as you don't wake up, don't blame me for using your bathroom as I please. I'll take a shower now!" Aozora stood up from the edge of the bed and walked towards the bathroom.
As soon as the bathroom door closed, the man lying there suddenly opened his eyelids and looked straight towards the bathroom.
