Bringer of nostalgic past

Tia's point of view

The sun shone brightly and so did my heart. A new life and fresh start is just what I needed. As I get ready in my perfect first impression outfit for first day of university I realise that I had forgotten something.

"Oh shit, Soph! ".

I rushed in to her bedroom and found her sleeping soundly.

" Soph! Wake up or we will be late on our first day and I definitely don't want that! "

I had to drag her to her bathroom and after leaving her there, I decided to make breakfast for us. While I cooked a tasty breakfast, Soph came in...

"Hmm.... That smells delicious Tia".

" Thanks Soph, have some and let's leave before it gets too late"

"Oh, by the way Tia, I forgot to tell you, I need to go to the Campus first since Stev asked me to meet him. He texted me in the morning telling it was something urgent. "

"Ok then, carry on,I will meet you in the class"

Stev was Soph's brother. She must have something to talk with him. After eating the breakfast, I left for University

As I was walking past the road to the university, I could feel the breeze moving gently and trees creating various canopies here and there. I rose my arm to find the light falling on my hands too in different shapes as it fought it's way with the trees to reach me.

The walk was filled with soft rustling of trees and the birds singing their own melody. How to describe it, it was a soft and fluffy feeling. I kept walking in silence as I didn't want to disrupt this beautiful play that was in action in front of me.

The University came into my view and it got me excited. My heart which was happy started to feel excited and nervous at the same time. Slowly, I walked in observing the chaos and cheerful scenario. It was what a typical University would feel like.

People gathered her and there to keep chatting among themselves... while at some places filled rowdy and clamourous mob who were busy admiring the college studs and belle, I found myself smiling at this view.

"Oh no no no, Tia, you dont have time for this. Let's go the classroom or lest u get scolded by the professor on your first day"

As I hurried towards my classroom looking at the time on my phone, I guess I didn't see a person carrying alot of stuffs in front of me.

Thud!!! "Ahh! it hurts! "

I fell on the ground. With me fell the other person and his stuffs too, which were seemingly scripts and charts with some decorative stuffs. It seemed like something from the Arts department. Before I could think anything else or help the other person, the papers started to fly in front of me and I jumped and danced as I tried to collect them.

As I managed to collect the papers and turned to ask,

"Are you okay!! " "Are you okay!?"

We both said at the same time.

In front of me stood there... A handsome guy, whose eyes gleamed as the sunshine fell on him. Jet black hair, eyes so deep you could drown in them, a sincere worried expression on his face and a husky yet soft voice, he stepped forward and dropped on one of his knees to unfold my folded corner of skirt.

He stood up and I handed over the papers to them saying "I am so sorry , Are you fine? "

"Yeah! I am fine! It was my mistake! I was busy speaking on call that I could not see you there. You are not hurt, are you? "

"Not at all! Don't worry about me, I was also at fault,I was busy looking at time and didn't see you there...."

The bell rang.

"Oh sorry, I need to get going or I will be late" and I ran to class.

After attending the classes with Soph I came to canteen at lunch and for some reason Soph was very excited. Only after getting in the canteen I realised the reason, it was because of Claire.

Claire was our classmate since school and Soph must have met her before me this morning.

We sat down and chatted for a while to catch up on each other's life when Claire said

"By the way, you know what, Betty and Clover broke up! And what's more is... Clover is in our University. "

Hearing this, I choked on my drink.

"Cough... cough... "

Soph said "Are you fine, Tia? Claire! Be careful when you speak"

I said "It's fine, you guys keep chatting. I need to head home early since I have got some work I need to do" and I went away from there as if I wanted to avoid the subject.
