From Ruvel's perspective.

Why is she so nice to me? Even though I barely even know her. Is it just her nature?

?: "RUVEL! DAD WANTS YOU! IT'S TIME FOR SUPPER!"

Ruvel: "I'M COMING ALEX!"

YES! I forgot that tonight is our special blood mixed drink and chicken salad.

Alex is my adoptive brother, he's four years older than me, because I was born into a pure blood family that was killed. That's why I was adopted and brought here, to a half blood family. It's said that pure bloods are highly dangerous.

Dad: "Who was the girl?"

Ruvel: "Her name is Luna. The first time we ran into each other was in front of the school. The second time was when I was following her to the park to give her the flash drive she dropped.

That's when a guy knocked her out and kidnapped her. So, I followed secretly to an abandoned house and once he left I snuck in and got her back to school. Then when school was over I walked her home."

Dad and Alex: "Wow."

After that we ate in silence. Once we finished eating we all headed to get changed and go to our coffins.

But before I did Dad stopped me and Alex to say: "I'm going out for a night flight, if you want you two can come."

As we were flying as bats I noticed that someone was headed for Luna's house.

Ruvel: "Hey Dad can We stop somewhere really quick?"

As they followed my gaze Dad said: "I have a plan." Then we swooped down a few houses away.

Dad: "You two stay here unless I wave my hand. Okay?"

Ruvel and Alex: "Okay."

Then he casually walked in the direction of Luna's house just as the other Zane reached for the door.

Dad: "Young man what are you doing out so late. Here I am on a late night walk because I can't sleep and I find a child sneaking back in. What ever will your parents think of this?"

I noticed how startled Zane seemed. It was funny.

Zane: "I.......I wasn't sneaking out. My parents let me go out for a walk, same as you."

Then my Dad waved his hand. So Alex and I headed over, pretending to talk and mess around. Once we got there pretended to just notice Dad and Zane.

Ruvel: "Hey Dad what are you and this kid doing at my friend Luna's house?"

At this Zane seemed to panic.

Dad: "Luna's house? This young man said he lives here. If this is Luna's house then why are you here young man?"

After Zane heard this he looked very mad and broke into a run.

All of a sudden I heard the slightest tap, that no one else seemed to hear. So, I looked up and saw Luna wide eyed. Once she noticed me looking, she mouthed thank you. So, I nodded up to her.
