Can you tell us about your journey till now as an author and what inspired you to start writing?
Angelina West
So, I started writing from 2022 November and about my journey I'm still new and learning. I always wanted to write but i didn't know how to start then, i discovered Mangatoon and started writing...What made me write? I just wanted to escape the reality, I wanted to live in my imagination it kept me happy and sometimes reality is way too harsh..and also I wanted to share my imaginations my stories with others

I feel like that's so relatable, and everyone who writes would be able to relate to this, even I feel like that actually might be my reason to have started writing!

What is your typical writing process like? Do you have any specific routines or rituals that help you get into the writing mindset?
Angelina West
Well about that, When I first joined mangatoon I didn't know how to write a chat story or what is the writing style of others because there was no one to guide me as I was new. Then I thought maybe i won't write stories, I'll just read others stories. And, mangatoon was different for me you know because First i used to write in Wattpad which was not chat Stories but novels, I got response from my fans it was really motivating for me, But then I stopped writing and deleted my novel from Wattpad and deleted the app however, I found mangatoon and started reading other writers stories then I gave it a shot and I didn't got a great response to be honest but as time passed and i kept releasing my stories people really supported me and I'm really thankful for that. I can say that my writing style is understandable and quite decent

I love the thought how you kept yourself motivated throughout! however, no problem but let me make the question a littleeee more clear, so basically the question asks you what do you do before you write an episode, do you do something in specific which allows you to write a new episode

Yess! Listen to music, listening to music makes me really inspired

Oh my god, I feel like that would be a general response but at the same time no one really thinks about that!

Well now I know the secret recipe to making those fantastic episodes

Good music really helps me

and from the age of 9 I'm listening to music and it makes me so inspired and I wanted to write but I didn't know about any platforms

Yeah I feel you! I used to write down my own stories somewhere in documents soft copy or hard copy but never got the chance to bring it out there, mt really helped me with that too

Yess, I used to write in Google notes lol

I used to write on docs😭

I have so many stories in my mind which I am working on it right now hoping to release it next year

anyways, now another question which I'm personally very intrigued about is how do you come up with your characters?

Like are they based on real people or are they based on your imagination?
Angelina West
They are based on my imagination! but few of them are based on real people

Kevin from my 2nd chat story is based on a real person

Only Kevin is based on a real person other characters are my imagination!

Ok, so like have you ever thought or actually have made any antagonist of the story based on your enemy in real life?
Host
I feel like that's what many writers do, and that's also a perk you have as a writer
Angelina West
No, Not at all
Host
Do you plan on? or have that thought ever even just crossed you, like someone pisses you off and you're like, I'm gonna make him/her an antagonist in my story and the hate they will receive will be tremendous

I feel like that thought has definitely crossed me💀💀
Angelina West
Even if someone does pisses me off, I just move on I'm like it's my fate i'mma just accept it and continue my life. I can't let any hater stop me and take away my peace

Anyways, your stories seem to be mainly of the genre, romance, what can readers expect from you in the future? do you plan on exploring any new genres?
Angelina West
I think my speciality is writing romance and about exploring genre, Yes I might explore other genre in future for example Fantasy, action, horror

oooh, whatever it will be I'm pretty sure it'll be incredible and I'm always gonna be there reading your stories because I simply cannot resist them💕

So you seem to have a handful of stories and I have to say they are lovely! but the writing style in these, are these inspired by any other authors or works? be it in real life or be it in Mangtoon itself?

No, it's not inspired by any other author or works

I can say 1 thing for sure, That i imagine things a lot 😆

I feel like all authors do which is why they write to just bring out that imagination!

Can you share any interesting or memorable experiences you've had while researching or writing your books?
Angelina West
For now I don't think i have experienced any memorable experience yet 😅

My life is quite boring

I'm very intrigued about this question too, so How do you approach the editing and revision process? Do you have any tips for other writers on how to improve their work through self-editing?
Angelina West
@ֆɨʍքɨռ' օʋɛʀ ɦɨʍ(✨▽✨): About self editing, I'll be honest I'm not good at editing at all but I try my best to make the poster of my chat story really interesting and approaching. I believe that way we will attract more readers

That is very true and insightful

It's based on my experience, Because whenever I see a intresting poster i feel attracted to that chat story
Angelina West
And I always make sure to write atleast 40 episodes of my chat story before releasing it

Oh my god, I come up with each episode at last minute🤧🤧

I was like that too while i was writing "Wishing for you to be mine" and that made me realise my mistakes
Angelina West
I think reader losses interest if they don't get the episodes in time

That is very true from personal experience
Angelina West
That way, Readers can get daily updates and I can keep writing more episodes

But that is so prominent of you

By the poster you can imagine how fun and exciting this story is going to be, Till now it contains 14 episodes and the update timing is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 💞 I Hope you guys will try this story because this story is actually really interesting..
