What's next?
Realizing the danger of his own position and lacking any means to defend himself, Asher slowly retreats.
Asher hops back on his motorcycle, his expression filled with concern and determination.
Asher
Something doesn't add up.
Asher starts the engine and speeds away, the image of the stunning territory and Charlotte's ruthless actions disturbing his mind.
Charlotte stands in the dimly lit hideout. She paces anxiously, contemplating her next move.
She calls Tobias, Charlotte's loyal confidant and spy.
Charlotte
Tobias, I need you to take care of the body. Make sure it disappears without a trace.
Charlotte
It's for a beautiful territory.
Tobias
Charlotte, you've broken one of the underworld's cardinal rules. Killing without cause brings unwanted attention. We must handle this carefully.
Charlotte
He's an underdog, we won't be in any trouble.
As they speak, the injured boy on the floor stirs, causing Charlotte to freeze.
Charlotte
He's still alive? I might have to use another bullet.
Tobias's eyes widen in alarm, his voice filled with urgency.
Charlotte freezes, her finger still on the trigger, the weight of Tobias's command sinking in.
Tobias
You can't just eliminate him like that. He might have a family, people who care about him.
Charlotte
Weakness will be the death of you.
Saying that, Charlotte lowers her gun slowly, her expression unchanged.
Tobias
Charlotte, this isn't who we are. We can't discard a life so easily.
Tobias calls the ambulance on his other phone.
Tobias hangs up the phone, his attention shifting back to Charlotte, his voice filled with determination.
Tobias
The first and last time, Charlotte?
They exchange a knowing smile and let out a soft chuckle.
Tobias
I'll take care of the situation from here.
Tobias
But you do have a knack for finding trouble, don't you?
Charlotte
And you always seem to be right there to clean up my messes, Tobias.
Charlotte
He'll make it, I'm sure of it.
Charlotte takes her car and drives home.
Charlotte steps into her lavishly decorated apartment.
Charlotte's thoughts drift back to the events of the night.
Her cellphone rings, breaking the silence. Charlotte picks it up and sees her mother's name flashing on the screen.
She hesitates, knowing her mother wants to discuss wedding plans.
Charlotte
Not now, Mother.
She sets the phone aside, disinterested in the extravagant wedding preparations that await her.
Is Charlotte every going to participate in the wedding preparations?
