PROLOGUE

-The truth always prevails-

In an era long gone lived the great General Yu Huang, man of great power and much charisma with the ladies, especially with The Emperor's daughters.

He was a general for the Imperial Palace of Bowen and was destined to marry The Emperor's eldest daughter Chun Hua.

The young and loving Chun Hua was instead in love with another man. On the day of their wedding day she threatened her father that she would slit open her own throat if she would have to marry Yu Huang.

Hearing her pleas, The Emperor decided on banishing him from the lands of Bowen.

For months on end the young general had wandered in the lands while only drinking rain water and eating plants. Until then he felt like he had no more hopes in life but finally he got an idea; because of his strong cultivation skills and in martial arts he decided to create the Yu sect.

With only wood he created something close to a palace and many started calling it Lián Gōng Its name derives from the fact that the sect was built upon a mountain right in front of beautiful lotus rivers that made its beauty stand out from any other.

Many started coming to the sect for protection and shelter, some even sending their children there to learn cultivation and martial arts from Yu Huang who now was a teacher to the youths of his sect.

There were five other sects who started getting jealous of the power that Yu Huang was getting, the sixth being too humble and caring to enter such trivial matters that they were getting themselves into.

The six sects were: the Wei Sect and it's leader Wei Bingwen, the Lai Sect and its leader Lai Yun, the Guo Sect and its leader Guo Chao, the Shi Sect and its leader Shi Changming, the Zou Sect and its leader Zou Zian and last but not least the Xue Sect and its leader Xue Deming, the only sect leader that didn't want to pick fights with anyone ever.

Xue Deming was always on good terms with everyone that he knew-disrespect was never his forté. He was especially on good terms with The Lai Sects' eldest or his sworn brother.

When war was waged upon the first five sects they thought that together they could defeat Yu Huang and take his power from him. However, their plans were cut short when Guo Chao was killed with Gu Sorcery by Shi Changming.

Now that the strongest sects are slowly but surely deteriorating, Yu Huang could finally win the war and destroy them all.

After winning the war, he decided he wanted to make peace with Xue Deming and helped him in many ways like: helping his clan with cultivation of crops, sending disciples, helping Xue Deming with his cultivation skills and many other things.

The two had become good friends and night hunt partners.

These are all of the stories that historical documents tell and the only things that the clans' families rely on for hundreds of years.

They were the only ones until Yu Meixiu or grandma Yu decided to seek more about the family's history, but her seeking was cut short when a leg injury got her bed-bound and caused her death.

The family finally though that her crazy theories would not be brought on to the next generation until, one day her great grandson Yu Ling found one of his grandmother's journals in which she stored all of the information that she found in the years of her "truth seeking journey" and got her same obsession: finding out the truth or more information about his family.
