Ch. 05 // She was cute

Yoongi placed the plastic bags on the kitchen slab while he was lost in his thoughts. He took his cigarette out of his mouth and crushed it against the sink before throwing it in the bin. There was so much going on in his head. He wasn't even sure what he was thinking about?

Her life was really fvcked up. Like, getting kidnapped every now and then, having her own family against her and no one to rely on. That's a little too unfair with someone as vulnerable as her.

And the point that her uncle wants her to die so he can use her death for the money was boiling his blood. How cruel could a person be? Does this happens in every family with step relations?

The biggest question now was, what he'll do? Kill her? No because he promised that kidnapping her would be the last crime he does. Try to find that Jogim guy? Almost impossible among the huge population of people in the country or what if they moved abroad? Should he sell her? No, that's another crime.

Maybe he could... just abandon her? Yeah perhaps that's a better option but wait... What if they found that she was still alive and then send someone else to kill her ? No he can't let that happen. She shouldn't die. She shouldn't die.

But why?

He sighed heavily and gazed towards the door where she was in. For then, he should just give her something to eat.

He went there and unlocked the only to be met with another shocking sight. " WHAT THE HELL!! "

He rushed towards her and snatched away the broken part of the chair that she was about to use to stab herself. He threw it away and looked at her in terror as she was sobbing.

" I DIDN'T MEAN IT WHEN SAID YOU SHOULD KILL YOURSELF!! " he yelled at her.

The tears slipping from her eyes were so visible and her sobs were so loud. She broke down on the floor and started crying out loud.

" What else should I do? Wh-what can I even do!! " she cried, covering her face with her hands.

The sight in front of his eyes was making Yoongi feel strange things. The last time he saw someone crying like this was himself for his mother and sister.

He knelt in front of her and gently rested his hand on her shoulder " S-stop crying. We'll find a way " he muttered.

But she didn't stop crying. He couldn't see that. It was too weird feeling to watch her crying like it was hurting him.

She didn't know what to say or do? How she was a burden on herself and everyone else. The more she wanted to stop, the more tears and sobs came out. She was too broken.

And the next thing she knew she was wrapped in a gentle and warm hug. He hugged her embracing in his chest as she cried. He was a little hesitant because he always hated physical contact but there he was hugging her.

How sweet of him.

He patted her back " Shhh!! It's OK. Life is hard, I know. But we should try our best to survive it until it's really the end. Suicide is not a good solution to any problem. " he said in a soft voice.

She seemed to calm down and it relieved him. She felt warm, he was cozy and gentle. More to it, she need a hug. She needed an embrace to feel comfy at. She snuggled.

He kept stroking her head and patting her back until she was quiet and not crying. Suddenly her stomach growled , embarrassing her infront of him. He chuckled and parted the hug.

" You're hungry right. Let's have something and then we'll think of a better solution than killing yourself. " he smiled.

She kept her gaze low, sniffling and wiping her own tears. She didn't expect a stranger to be this kind and comfy for herself. Even though she didn't know him well , her inner self asked to believe in him.

" Thanks " she mumbled.

Yoongi placed a two mugs of coffee on the table that he carried in just one hand and a plate of croissant rolls with the other one.

" Come on grab it " he offered her as he sat on the couch beside her maintaining a good distance.

She reached for the coffee " I never thought kidnappers provide such good treatment. " she stated and blew the hot coffee.

He scoffed " It's just for you otherwise everyone would want to be kidnapped " he replied.

She nodded in agreement and sipped on the coffee. It's great. He's was watching her taking sips of the coffee, perhaps expecting a compliment but she was too lost in her thoughts to notice.

He sighed " So? " she looked at him " Do you have any plans or ideas? " he asked.

She nodded vigorously and straightened her posture " I have two ideas in my head. Number one y-"

He interrupted her " If one of them is about killing you then just skip to the second one. " he instructed.

" OK so the second one is... "

He didn't expect anything else. What a suicidal *** he met.

" The second one is, you should just let me go. Like I've always been on my own, I'll manage again. " she told him.

He shook his head " I'm not abandoning you "

" Why? "

" Because.... Uh...what if you go to the police? "

" I won't. Really I won't do that. "

" I don't believe you "

" Then do. I swear, I won't tell anyone about this. I'll just continue my life as it was, surviving and getting kidnapped every now and then. " she muttered.

He stared her while she sipped her coffee in sadness. Her face does say a lot of how much she has gone through. The puffy eyes, bloated face and unclear voice.

Yoongi wasn't sure about the feeling he was experiencing just now. What is this? It's weird and the fact that he was feeling that for her was even weirder.

" I have a better option " he announced grabbing her attention once more and his eyes darting right at her.

"What? "

" You'll move out with me and live with me. If you really want to just disappear from your uncle's life then this is the best way rather than suicide. " he explained her.

" No " she said straight away " I appreciate you want to help me out but this can't be. I.... I don't want to be a burden on you now. " she refused.

He raised an eyebrow " Burden? The money that I'm surviving on is given to kidnap you so technically you're the reason I'm having money to live. I don't think a burden does that. Besides, you're a freelancer ain't you? You can pay me rent if you really feel like a burden on me " he clarified.

Now he was smart in her eyes. But again stupid too. She has her own reasons to deny but she can't tell him. What to do now?

" I can't stay with you " she sighed.

" Any particular reason? " he asked.

" I... Yo...you are a criminal. "

" I told you kidnapping you was my last crime. "

" I don't trust you. What if you kill me? "

" Well... You want that don't you? "

" Ughhh!! I just... I just can't stand this "

He scoffed and shuffled closer to her " Or maybe" he leaned closer to her.

She leaned back in her place with her heart beat increasing as he was getting closer. His eyes looking straight in her making her feel strange fluttering in her stomach.

" Maybe you're just scared that you'll fall in love with me? " he smirked.

She blinked twice, internally trying to calm her racing heart and praying that he don't hear the thumping of her heart. Why was she feeling like that?

He noticed her face turning red and leaned back to his place with a snicker that she clearly noticed " I think I'm right!! "

Come on Hana , you gotta gather your shit!!

She squinted her eyes " Falling for you? Do I look insane? "

" You keep talking bout killing you so yeah you look insane " he replied.

She rolled her eyes " That's not it. I don't have any thoughts like that in my head. I just don't want to be with you. " she snorted looking away.

" I don't give a fvck about that. You're not leaving and that is it. " he stated and grabbed the croissant roll.

She looked at him " You can't force me. "

" I can. I've kidnapped you pretty. " he reminded her.

" No you can't. Kidnappers don't keep their victims for no reason. You have nothing to do with me " she exclaimed.

He said nothing and just ignored her. She stared at him in annoyance. What kinda person is he even?

She put the mug on the coffee table and stood up, he still didn't bothered to look and continued eating his roll. She just quitly headed to wards the front door and that's when he looked.

" Yaah where are you going!???" he shouted to her but she just neglected.

He stood up leaving the half eaten roll and coffee on the table. He rushed and block the front door before she could reach.

" Move aside " she demanded.

" No. You can't leave. " he protested.

" Move aside I said. "

He shook his head.

She sighed out her frustration " Listen mister, I don't want to lose my mind and do something to you. Just move aside and let me go " she warned him.

Wow. She was threatening one of the best assassins in the country. Great.

" What can you even do you little kid? " he teased her.

" I'm not a little kid. " she argued.

He laughed, his shoulders bouncing slightly " Then? You're just a little kid to me. "

OK but now Yoongi was really getting on her nerves.

" I'M NOT A KID!! I'M A GROWN UP, ENOUGH OLD TO FVCK YOU AND HAVE YOU ON YOUR KNEES FOR ME!! " she yelled.

And seconds later, regretted it. Well done Hana, you really said that out loud, right at his face. How ridiculous!?

" What did you say? " he mumbled slowly.

" Uh... I... "

His eyes were dark and face unreadable. She gulped, she was done today. He started stepping forward and she stepped back. Her heart started racing again with the decrease in the distance between them.

" I'm... Sorry. I... Ah! "

Her back bumped with a column and she gulped looking back and then to her front. He was too close. She shut her eyes tight when he placed his hand beside her head against the column.

" The next time I hear you cursing or yelling such things... I'mma make you do it practically. " he warned her and then stepped aback.

She still had her eyes closed unaware that he was not so close as then. He had to stop himself from laughing.

" Open your eyes!! " he commanded strictly.

She flinched in her place and slowly opened her eyes to find him at a decent distance from her. She let out her breath that she didn't even know she was holding.

" I'm... Sorry " she mumbled, keeping her gaze low.

" Get inside now and no more ands or buts. We're leaving tomorrow morning. " he ordered.

She quitly walked in the room where he locked her earlier. He watched her going and chuckled to himself. She's cute.
