~VIRUS~

Layla walked out of the hospital looking at the busy road she took in a deep breath and inhaled the unpolluted air as the breeze dried up her tears.

Rowan who was watching from afar took out his phone and saw the caller id and cut it immediately ' not now '.

Layla tried to take a taxi home but Rowan insisted on taking her. After minutes Layla house came into view, it was already evening and the house made a gloomy appearance making it look unsafe.

Rowan noticed the change of aura in Layla house and narrowed his eyes as his eyes grew cold.

"Thanks" Layla said as she walked towards the house but was hindered by Rowan who blocked her entrance.

" Come to my house" Rowan said as he looked at the house one more time.

" Why? even is I want to come, what of my clothes and what I need" Layla said as she looked at Rowan.

Rowan sighed and grabbed Layla slender wrist and pulled her in the car.

" But.." Layla said as she looked at Rowan in disbelief ' you want me to walk around ***** '.

"No, I have some ladies wears at my house" Rowan said as already known what Layla was thinking through her expression.

Layla scoffed and looked at Rowan as he walked to the other side of the black car ' as expected of a player '.

The car moved at a normal speed, Layla rested her head on the seat as she closed her eyes.

{System 1049: your friends seems.to be sensitive to auras, host you just escaped death there was goblin waiting for you in your house}.

"Then why didn't you tell me ?" Layla said as she frowned slightly.

{System 1049: Host your emotional rate was too high which blocked me from communicating to you}.

"So you are saying it is my fault?" Layla said.

"Ok then"Layla said as she slept off with her back slouching.

After some minutes, Rowan arrived at his house, looking to his right to see Layla who had already slept off.

Sigh!

Rowan tapped Layla twice but she didn't bulge, she seemed tired. Rowan had to carry her to the house.

Kicking the door open Rowan entered the guest room and laid Layla on the bed.

And walked up to the butler and ordered a few things before moving out with the sight of the butler slightly bowing respectively.

Rowan removed his tie off his neck and unbuttoned three button off his shirt. Glancing through his phone , the same caller id suddenly showed up again and Rowan suddenly had a bad feeling and later picked it.

"Boss, please check the news!" The voice said.

Rowan took the remote and turned on the television which immediately showed the breaking news.

{Breaking news: The scientists have declared that a strange virus has appeared and in other to reduce the spread and find the vaccine for the disease.}

{Breaking news: This virus has various symptoms , which are listed on the screen, please we would advise you all to stay at home, thank you}.

Rowan inhaled a deep breath and clenched his hands before loosening it again.

Layla turned around on the bed tiredly and suddenly frowned ' soft '.

Her eyes flew open immediately, as she looked around the house then she suddenly remembered that she was in Rowan house.

Sigh!

Layla stood from the bed and removed her clothes,' he didn't even bother to take off my shoes, dropping me on the bed like a sack of potatoes '. Layla mumured under her breath as her cheek puffed in anger.

Walking out of the door, Layla looked at the big house with luxurious interiors, glancing around in awe.

A man wearing a black suit with his gloves hands clasped to his back stood straight with the aura of a strict butler spoke up.

"Miss Williams, young master as ordered me to escort you for your dinner" the man said as his stuff face turned around and Layla followed.

' what is this , are we in the 1968 or something '

"Where is your master" Layla said even though it sounded weird.

"Master is attending to some business that I can't disclose to strangers" the butler said which made Layla eye to twitch in anger.

' stranger!, I have been with Rowan since he was age 6 *****! ' Layla bit down her words that were forcing to come out.

Taking a deep breath, Layla calmed down the raging storm brewing in her mind as she looked at the man Beard which was twice longer than Herbert Macaulay's.

' I suddenly feel like clipping it off, I wonder how he his comfortable '.

The dinning table was revealed with few dishes covered, Layla smiled as she greedily inhaled the sweet smell.

' maybe food will appease my anger '.

Layla raised her head and snorted before sitting down and opening the dishes.

"....!$*?"

"I noticed that you had some fat and decided to change the dish to a more nutritious one, enjoy" the butler said as his eyes flickered.

' that it! '

{System 1049: warning anger rate has increased to 80%, please calm down host}

"Calm down!are kidding me, he gave me three corn to eat for dinner" Layla said as she fumed.

The butler not knowing that Layla was talking to the system saw her dazed look and misjudged it for defeat snorted in victory as he raised his head high.

' am the boss here wimp ' the man said as he roared in pride.

{System 1059: stay calm host,he is not worth your anger}.

"Right, I will play along with his games" Layla said as she glared at the butler who was soaring in pride and brimming with hostility.

Layla scoffed and took the plate and ate the corn.

Rowan stood up from the couch and walked out of the large sitting room heading to the dinning hall.

Layla had already finished eating the corn as she wiped the tear of unsatisfaction from the corner of her eyes.

The large door opened and Rowan stood up right as he walked slowly, Layla looked up and dropped the table cloth on the table.

" Your butler is really hard working Rowan" Layla said as she smiled with a slight anger which was struggling to conceal.

" Hmm" a short hum came out of Rowan mouth as he took a sit near Layla.

The butler looked at Layla and narrowed his eyes as his eyes flashed quickly.

"Have you eaten?" Rowan said as he took out his phone and swiped through it.

"Yes a very delicious meal" Layla said as she glimpse at the butler.

Rowan noticed the odd Atmosphere and  looked at the butler, he never like a butler but since he had a long history with his father, he had no choice but, this butler seems to be getting some courage.

Like him chasing away all his fling by either threat or frustration.

"Alfred what did you do again?" Row a said as he stared at the butler.

"Nothing sir" the butler said not batting an eye but his was concealing the fear as he felt like a hand was chocking him, wiping away the invisible cold sweat he got back to his indifference.

"Good" Rowan said knowing that he was lying could only stare at Layla and his eyes flashed apologically.

Layla rolled her eyes as she stood up and walked to around the house and decided to watch some news.

Layla sat down and watched the breaking news and was shocked.

' a virus? '
