Probabilities of Honesty

"Do you secretly love him?" a question that keeps haunting me until now and I still can't find the answer.

Nao is my bestfriend and very important person in my life and I want to protect him just like a part of my family. I never considered having a relationship with him since we are both male but during that time when I discovered the truth about him being a bisexual, I felt a little happiness bloomed inside my heart that I can't explain.

After his first breakup, he started becoming more quiet and his smiles get lesser until one day I realised that he never smiled or laugh genuinely ever again and then he became an easy target to bullying.

I stayed by his side during all those years trying to cheer him up and protected him from everyone to the point were I always got involved in troubles whenever I beat up people who will try to bully him.

Things got a little better when we finally graduate from the University. I became a high school teacher while he was still in training and I was glad that at least he feel comfortable and happy doing what he dreamed of.

"Nao, why did you choose to be a children's doctor?"

"Actually my reason is a little silly and simple. I like kids, they are naturally honest and pure so I don't even need to use my probabilities just to see their true nature."

"I think your reason was the best answer I can hear in the entire universe. I'm happy to see that you can finally do what you enjoy doing."

" Thank you Hisa. Thanks for everything."

Nao was just too pure as a human. He can really see the probabilities of someone's way of thinking, his lies, and intentions but he always choose not to see it because he naturally wanted to trust people without any doubt, just thinking about makes my heart clench. Why did Nao have to suffer from betrayals and rejection even though all this time he just wanted to have many friends.

Back at the present.....

Nao came back to us after talking with the police officer.

"Hisashi, wait for me at my clinic, and you Suzuki-kun let's talk for a bit outside." I was shocked to see him drag the kid outside.

.....

After waiting for almost an hour inside his office in the clinic, Nao still haven't come back. I wanted to wait for him but tomorrow is a weekend and I have to go out early to visit my family in the nearby city so I decided to call Nao to inform him.

"Ahh Hisa good timing, I am just about to call you. Sorry but I think I will be late going back there so can leave now and can you do me a favor and lock the clinic before you leave?" he immediately speak before I can even say hello and it seems that he is in a hurry.
