Episode 11

Nathaniel still looked in the rearview mirror from time to time, watching the unfolding of that matter, he still paid attention to his boss's expressions, wanting to know what he would do next.

"Mr. Moretti?" he sought an explanation.

"I think you misunderstood something, the marriage proposal is true."

Igor was paralyzed for a few seconds in front of that statement, he swore that all that talk about marriage was just a play, but it was escaping his expectations, he was surprised, but also confused.

"If I'm not mistaken, this isn't the first time we've met?"

Enrico had an indecipherable expression in the face of those words, he still didn't answer, waiting for Igor to complete his thought.

"Although love at first sight exists, but love at first sight and getting married on the same day? You don't seem like the emotional type, sir," he leaned back in the seat and continued his reasoning, looking with the same provocative gaze as always. "But if we really get married today, who would win and who would lose in all this?"

If he were to be honest, Enrico was indeed a very handsome man, who could be appreciated by both men and women, if Enrico became his husband in such an instant way, it wouldn't really be a loss for him, but as much as he liked to play around, some things were clear in his heart and he took them seriously.

Even though he was trying to change the plot of that premonitory dream he had, there was still no way such luck would come falling from the sky, especially such a valuable luck like Enrico Moretti. If he wasn't careful and took a misstep, that luck could become a trap and be the cause of his downfall.

Enrico was being questioned by that gaze, so he went straight to the point.

"I need a suitable partner to be presented publicly. Since the second son of the Rossi family touched on this matter first and seems to be a great actor with great skills, why not consider the possibility of cooperating with me?"

"Mr. Moretti, are you proposing a marriage contract?" he still seemed somewhat disbelieving.

"Yes, during the marriage contract, I won't touch you, you won't lack anything, you'll have clothes, food, and whatever else you need," he spoke seriously.

"Really?" Igor smiled subtly, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with what he said. "Well, but now this car is going straight to your house, anyone who doesn't know the story might think you're forcing me."

"You can refuse," he responded immediately, his gaze sweeping him from top to bottom. "But I'm curious, where are you thinking of going since you left that house empty-handed?"

Igor was reminded of that unfortunate detail, as he was angry, he ended up planning to leave without his belongings, without his documents and luggage. It would be easy to be barred from places without his documents, but it was a miracle that he managed to leave that house quickly. He didn't want to go back and encounter more problems. However, Enrico seemed to read his thoughts and added.

"Later, I can send someone to retrieve your things from your family's house. Why don't you come to my house first? Then you can decide whether you want to leave or cooperate with me."

Those words sounded so kind that no one could believe they were false. Igor thought that Enrico not only had power and status, but he was also very intelligent. In the face of that realization, he decided to accept.

"All right, how much longer until we reach your house?"

"About half an hour," Nathaniel replied from the driver's seat. "Mr. Rossi returned to the country yesterday, right? If you're not used to the time zone yet, you can sleep a little until we arrive."

Igor had not slept well, but it was not due to jet lag from the trip and the difference in time zones. It was because of his dream, all those details were very vivid and disturbing. He couldn't explain how that had happened. Until then, he didn't believe much in premonitions, but the line between dream and reality was very thin.

That event was something that couldn't be explained, but as things unfolded, he realized that it could all be true. So he took out his cell phone and started jotting down some information, important events that had occurred in that dream. It was better to keep those details just in case.

Igor had his pride, he wouldn't kowtow to Jone to escape the miserable life he had lived in that dream. If his stepbrother was the protagonist in those images and he was just a mere supporting character, in reality, he would change the course of his life. And the first step would be not to be hasty, like he had been in his dream.

Since he had taken that dream as truth, he needed to be prepared. While he wrote down the details, he realized something he had neglected until that moment. Enrico had also appeared in his dream, but only towards the end of it. Thinking about this, he looked at the man beside him, unsure if the fact that he appeared at that moment would already change some factor in his future.
