Samantha was afraid to leave with the vehicle, that he would end up shooting and running her over, she was also afraid to stay and that he would kill her anyway, she was indecisive, and found herself between a rock and a hard place.
"Open the door," she could hear the man's order.
She didn't think much about it and opened the door, he entered and gave her the order.
"Drive."
"If you want the car, you can take it, it's not mine, but I'll manage, it must have insurance," she said tremulously.
"I don't want your car, I just need you to drive it, it doesn't matter where, just get me out of here, now!" this time Adam spoke pointing the gun at her.
Samantha started driving again, the traffic light was already open, so she continued on her way, she didn't know where to go, she was only thinking of one place, her house, why she had had that stupid idea, she didn't know, she was just very nervous.
As if he had read her thoughts, he spoke while she kept driving.
"Your house, do you live with anyone?"
"No, I live alone," after he answered, she scolded herself for being so honest in her response.
"Then let's go to your house, I need to get this bullet out, I can't even go to my house now," he said, hoping she would cooperate.
Adam was worried that they might be waiting for him near his house, he would try to manage with his wound, and try to charge his cell phone to talk to one of his men.
Samantha, who was next to him, was still nervous, seeing an armed and bleeding man near her, after having made the mistake of speaking, of living alone, now she could only think, what she was going to do when she got to her house.
Another of her thoughts was that luck was not helping her at all lately, everything was getting out of her hands and out of her control, and the whole mess was only resulting in disastrous situations for her.
She decided to break the silence, but the question she asked was not the one she should have asked.
"Have you been involved in a robbery?" she asked looking ahead.
"Do I look like a robber?" Adam looked at her, noticing how nervous she was.
"I didn't know they had a specific biotype."
Adam narrowed his eyes at her, he thought to himself, not only was she beautiful, but she had a very sharp tongue.
"If that's what worries you, rest assured that I'm not a thief, this here was the result of a betrayal by my girlfriend, or rather ex-girlfriend."
Samantha looked at him and then at his wound, she thought to herself, that in that case she was lucky, since from the betrayal she suffered from Douglas, she only got a few more calories, from the pint of ice cream she ate, and the heartbreak she had.
"Welcome to the club," she said, without looking at him directly.
The fact that she was nervous and apprehensive was making her talk too much, so she tried to take a deep breath to calm down, or she might say something that would really make him nervous.
A few minutes later, Samantha arrived at her house, before getting out of the car, Adam made sure to clarify a few things with her.
"I have no intention of hurting you, so don't do anything stupid, I just need to get the bullet out and a cell phone charger, I promise I'll leave afterwards, without causing you any harm," Adam tried to be as sincere as possible.
That was the first time she had really looked at him since he got into the car, the clarity was only the light of the streetlights, the little she could see of his face, it seemed that he was being sincere.
"Let's go please, I don't want anyone to see us here," Samantha said and began to take her bag to get out of the car.
Adam also got out and went after her, she closed the car, and he stayed with the gun in his hand, looking around, there was no possibility that there was anyone there, but he did not allow himself to let his guard down.
Only when they entered the house, Adam relaxed a little more, while she closed the door, he began to feel dizzy and almost fell.
Samantha hugged him impulsively, at that moment, she couldn't help but their faces got very close, Adam leaned over her, and held his gaze in hers, making her look away again, but this time, with her heart racing.
With that look, Samantha could see his face better, and realized how beautiful that man was, despite being in that state, it was undeniable how charming he was.
Adam spoke to her, taking her out of her thoughts.
"Take me to the bathroom, this could get messy," Adam knew he would bleed more from the procedure.
Samantha helped him go to the bathroom, sat him on the tub and noticed that he was already very weak.
"What else do you want me to do?" she didn't know who he was, but she couldn't let him die in her house.
"Bring the first aid you have, the strongest drink you have at home, a knife or a fine-tipped razor, and charge my cell phone please," he asked her kindly.
Samantha just wanted him to do what he needed to do and leave her house soon, and she prayed that he would not die there.
She looked around for a spare charger that she always carried in her bag, luckily it was the same input as her cell phone, she put it to charge and went for the other things.
She only had tequila and beer at home, she took the drink, but she also remembered that she had alcohol, taking it to him too, he seemed to know what he was doing, he probably had even done it before.
