Over the next few weeks, Nathan and the young woman continued to see each other. They went on walks in the park, had picnics by the river, and even went to a concert together. Nathan had never felt so alive. He was falling in love.

Nathan felt his heart sink. He had been foolish to think that she would feel the same way. He stood up from the couch and started to walk toward the door. "I understand if you don't feel the same way," he said. "I'll leave you alone now."
But before he could reach the door, she grabbed his hand. "Wait," she said. "I need to tell you something too."
Nathan turned around, his heart pounding. "What is it?"
