● CHAPTER 1 ●
I'm 9 months pregnant. After 2 years of marriage and being infertile, I thought I would never be able to have a baby and give my husband an heir. He loves me so much. He takes care of me very well He always whispers Sweet Nothings to me as we lay in bed till I fall asleep. It felt so unfair to him. I felt worthless that I couldn't give him a baby. Yet still, he is very supportive. the past 2 years were unfortunate. 4 months after I got married, I fell sick. doctors always come and treat me. they said that my immune system is very weak. Then my family who travelled to England from America faced a huge car crash on their way from the airport. I felt like hell darkness was surrounding me. and I knew very well that one day it's going to swallow me whole.
My husband was by my side all the time, He cooked for me, Bathed me every day, and Loved me dearly. And finally, in God's blessings, we conceived on February and right now I'm nine months pregnant. My husband Julian will come every night and whenever he's free and talk to our baby.
I was seated on a rocking chair comfortably which was placed near the huge window in our bedroom.
I looked out at the sky which was covered in Dark grey clouds. The weather looked gloomy. Looks like it would storm. I creased my swollen belly and thought about Julian. Hope he reaches home safely.
Suddenly I felt a slight kick on my belly. A happy smile formed on my pale face. Julian should be here. Because he always misses this situation. He then starts to complain telling that the baby only loves his mama.

You're also worried about your daddy baby? don't worry daddy will arrive home soon and read you a book okay.
Soon the little kicks stopped.

I said and started to sing this beautiful lullaby.

I sang. My eyes closed too. As I sang the baby the lullaby. Warm memories from my past flowed in. My family, My 2 best friends, And... Him.
It's been 2 years since I've met them. And I lost contact with all of them when I moved to London. I miss them. What might've been doing right now?
I wondered. What would their reaction be when they found out that I'm pregnant? Will they be excited about being uncle and aunt ?
I was flooded in my thoughts when I heard familiar fast-pacing footsteps in the hallway. I tried to get up knowing who must have been here. But the stinging pain in my back made it hard
Julian saw me and came running towards me.

You're okay love?
He trembled. His Eyes were filled with worry and care.

I'm fine Jul, it's just you know right? The third trimester. The baby is getting heavy day by day. Looks like our baby is very healthy.
Julian Gomez
But your health is also important to me. I need both my wife and baby healthy.
He said as he pressed his lips on my forehead and I smiled
He helped me walk to bed and helped me lay down comfortably. Then he squat down and touched my belly and said,

Naughty baby, Don't trouble your mommy. We should protect her okay?
He said with strictness and kissed my belly. I giggled at the scene. My heart filled with warmth. I could never be happier. This is all I've ever wanted. A family I built to myself. A loving husband and our baby.
Although I'm a world famous singer, I guess right now people might've even forgotten me. I didn't release any music for the past 2 years. and my life is extremely private. Even my marriage wasn't announced to the media. Fame is great but its only temporary. fame is not life.
Julian cared my cheek and said,

How are you feeling?
His Hazel eyes filled with his usual warmth.

Better now that you're here.
I said with a faint smile.
there was a pause between our conversation for a few seconds
My Lips curled more into a wide smile. This man always makes sure that I'm loved. there's not a single day he never said the three words "I love you"

I said. Then he gently pressed his lips on mine. I smiled between our kiss.
our kiss lasted a few minutes. then we pulled apart.

It's almost dinner time. I'll go make you something delicious okay?
I said. Then he kissed the top of my head and walked towards tge door.
